Stella McCartney will appear in Absolutely Fabulous!

Can you really ask for better news on a dreary Thursday morning?  It has just been revealed that Stella McCartney will be appearing in an episode of Absolutely Fabulous when the comedy makes its highly anticipated return to the small screen next year (and one episode over Christmas! Eeek!) 

“It’s not exactly my idea of fun, but it’s Ab Fab, and how can you say no to Ab Fab,” Stella said. “I’m sure I’ll be terrifying, but, you know.”

We don’t know exactly what Stella will be up to, although The Telegraph reports Edina (Jennifer Saunders) and Patsy (Joanna Lumley) will be taking a trip to Stella McCartney’s store, so we will just have to wait and see how events unfold.

We imagine Stella McCartney is repaying the favour to Jennifer Saunders, who turned up in her Edina Monsoon costume – complete with a gold Stella McCartney jacket – to entertain the crowd as she turned on the Christmas lights at Stella’s Bruton Street store.

We were excited enough with the news of the return of one of our best loved comedies, but now that one of the top British fashion designers is on board, we can barely contain ourselves!
