Making cocktails with Cointreau ambassador Dita von Teese

2nd December 2011 2:12 pm

Tuesday may have been the launch night of the Cointreau Privé speakeasy with a whole host of celebs in attendance, but last night it was our turn – the turn of the fashion bloggers!

Burlesque queen and global brand ambassador for Cointreau Dita von Teese – dressed in gorgeous vintage Dolce and Gabbana, complete with her signature seductive, scarlet red lips – was once again present, this time to partake in some cocktail making with some of online’s finest fashionistas.

Naturally, we tried our hand at making the signature citrus and spice cocktail that will be served at the speakeasy which, apart from being one of the strongest cocktails we’ve ever tasted, was also one of the best thanks to its fresh ingredients and of course, Dita’s fine company (she just so happens to be one of the sweetest women ever, as well as the sexiest).

The venue must be very personal to Dita, too, since it’s modelled on her very own LA home and even features some of her personal belongings such as her giant martini glass, which she dutifully performed in on launch night.

The speakeasy is open for an exclusive three-week period, where you can expect to find the finest mixologists serving the most unbeatable orange-liqueur based cocktails while being entertained by very talented cabaret and burlesque acts.

We got a little taste of the atmosphere last night and can safely say we’ll be returning before it disappears on December 17th.

You can find the Cointreau Privé pop-up speakeasy at 215 Piccadilly for the next three weeks – the club is guestlist only, though, so head to www.cointreauprive.co.uk to book your place.
