Florence Welch is British Vogue’s first 2012 cover girl!

6th December 2011 11:03 am

Flame haired singer Florence Welch has just snagged the January 2012 over of British Vogue – and we couldn’t be more pleased for her!

Mario Testino photographed the Florence and the Machine frontwoman in a stunning icy blue silk, pleated Chloe dress, the colour of which complements her hair and skin tone perfectly.

Flo has been hailed as a style icon and is a fashion inspiration to countless women around the world, and even though she tells Vogue of how fashion has always been a part of her life, we are surprised to find out she is quite self deprecating in the corresponding interview.

“I’ve always been so interested in fashion and clothes; it’s all part of who I am,” she said. “This just seems slightly more high-octane. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to be polished. I’m just integrally slightly scruffy. You know you meet those women who are so cool? I’m striiiiiving for that so much! And I’m always too flustered.”

She doesn’t look flustered to us – the January issue of British Vogue is out now!

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
