Rooney Mara stuns in Givenchy at the world premiere of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in London

13th December 2011 10:29 am

Although we’re yet to see the film, we do know that the fashion in the upcoming The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film is a million miles away from what its lead actress Rooney Mara wore to the world premiere at London’s Leicester Square last night.

While Rooney Mara’s character Lisbeth Salander is fond of the punk rock and almost androgynous look, the actress was her complete opposite, as she looked pristine, elegant and almost as if butter wouldn’t belt as she strutted down the red carpet in her white cut-out Givenchy autumn/winter 2011 couture dress.

There is still a bit of a gothic element in Rooney’s look with her pale skin, jet black hair and blunt fringe, but she still managed to remain angelic with a slightly alternative edge – the styling was perfect, and we will definitely be keeping a beady eye on her future promotional appearances to see what else she and her styling team conjure up.

Don’t forget, the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for H&M collaboration launches tomorrow, so if you want to channel Lisbeth Salander and get your punk rock androgyny on, get queuing.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
