Cara Delevingne and Eddie Redmayne for Burberry Prorsum spring/summer 2012
Cara Delevingne and Eddie Redmayne are the stars of Burberry Prorsum’s spring/summer 2012 advertising campaigns, looking chic, playful and inevitably gorgeous in their Burberry getup.
“We wanted to capture a moment in the lives of two exciting and inspiring British actors who have been part of the Burberry family for several years,” sais Burberry CEO Christopher Bailey. “The images reflect the mood of the collection through Eddie’s and Cara’s energy, playfulness and effortless elegance and I have such huge admiration for them both.”
Can’t argue with that! The pair were photographed by Burberry-fave (and all-round fashion fave) Mario Testino in London, and apparently enjoyed a good few days of fooling around with each other while shooting.
“Christopher wanted something playful from the shoot and so Cara and I had a genius couple of days fooling around,” said Eddie. “Hopefully the enjoyment we had is reflected in the campaign.”
This is the first time a couple has featured in the brand’s ad campaigns since Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Sam Riley’s smouldering efforts in 2008. We assume Burberry refrained from doing so because Rosie and Sam did such a good job of it, but Cara and Eddie are the perfect pair to give them a run for their money.
