And now moving swiftly on from one H&M collaboration to another.  It has just been announced that the wonderful Sofia Coppola was put in charge of directing the TV and print advertising campaigns for the upcoming Marni for H&M collection.

“I enjoyed doing this film for the Marni at H&M collaboration,” Sofia said. “I think it’s great how they make fashion accessible and I wanted to show the fantasy fashion can bring. Consuelo Castiglioni seems really sincere and cares about what she does and I appreciated that.”

The campaigns, which were shot in Marrakech in October, will appear in cinemas worldwide and online in the new year. We have every faith that they will be something special if Sofia’s previous projects are anything to go by. Some of her credits include shooting the Miss Dior Cherie fragrance ad campaign, modelling for Marc Jacobs, co-founding her own ready-to-wear collection and much more.

The Marni for H&M collection will comprise of both womenswear and menswear pieces, and will hit shops and online on March 8th.
