Last year (well, only a few weeks ago) we showed you the very clever ad campaign for Dolce and Gabbana’s spring/summer 2012 menswear collection, which was shot in a sepia tone with real-life Italian actors as opposed to models.

We now have the womenswear campaign to gaze at, which was also shot in Portofino and is equally as captivating.

The womenswear images were shot by Giampaolo Sgura and feature screen goddess Monica Bellucci as well as Bianca Balti and a cast of Italian men, women and children.

We’ll once again say how much we applaud Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for embracing their roots for the latest set of ad campaigns.  It just goes to show that an Italian village setting is just as bold and wow-worthy as a beachfront or any other glam backdrop.

We only wish our family snaps were this artistic…
