Lady Gaga welcomes the New Year in Atelier Versace

4th January 2012 3:59 pm

Wow, wow, wow and double wow. Nobody could ever accuse Lady Gaga of turning up to an event under-dressed and this was certainly the case when she celebrated New Year’s Eve in Times Square at the weekend. Performing in front of thousands in the streets on New York, she looked a million dollars in her slinky silver Atelier Versace gown.

The dress, from the labels Spring/Summer 2010 collection, featured a beautiful sparkling bodice and high-thigh split. Her shoes of choice were a gloriously decadent pair of silver platform ‘Daffodile’ pumps from Christian Louboutins. To ‘couture’ the look up further, Gaga paired it with a pair of long white gloves and a dazzling Swarovski crystal-covered headpiece. Wowzers!

With one fell swoop Gaga has inspired three of our New Year’s resolutions.

1. New Louboutins

2. Be fearless in the face of fashion

3. Unleash our inner sparkle monster.

For that, Lady Gaga, we are thankful!

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
