“I would love to slow things down a bit,” Drew Barrymore tells February’s InStyle

9th January 2012 9:36 am

Granted it’s only January, but it’s already shaping up to be a good year for Hollywood sweetheart Drew Barrymore. Just last week she announced her engagement to boyfriend Will Kopelman, and this week we get to see her front February’s InStyle US in a chic and elegant white Max Mara dress.

She opens up to the mag about her fiancé, her philosophy on life, and why she wants to take her time with things from now on.

“I would love to slow things down a bit,” she told InStyle. “We’re living in a time when we have such expectations of immediacy. Everything is instantaneous, everything’s out there.”

We don’t know whether this means we will have to wait a while to see her walking down the aisle, but we love how complacent and happy she sounds about her life at the moment, and we do love a happy A-lister.

Although we can’t fault the newsstand cover above, we have fallen in love with the subscriber version below – simple yet cheeky: what’s not to love?

The rest of the pictures, shot by Andreas Sjodin, and her candid interview are great reasons to buy the magazine alone, although we’re quite interested in the figure flattery article too!

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
