Michelle Williams is perfect in Prada at the Palm Springs International Film Festival

10th January 2012 12:42 pm

It may  have been a few months since My Week with Marilyn hit our big screens, but Michelle Williams is still every inch the leading lady. She turned up to the California’s Palm Springs International Film Festival red carpet looking flawless in an embellished Prada number, complete with sparkly Forevermark bangles and matching shoes.

Even though she emulated Ms Monroe so effortlessly in the hit Simon Curtis film, it’s clear to see that the actress has her very own distinct style – which she works at every single red carpet event with such ease.

We’re also pleased to learn that Michelle was recognised for her portrayal of the late Hollywood screen siren, as she picked up the Desert Palm Achievement Actress Award.

“My only wish is that Marilyn herself could have experienced in her lifetime what I am experiencing tonight,” she gushed in her acceptance speech. “When she did stretch beyond her pin-up picture, she was pushed back into her place. I accept this award on both our behalf.”

And we predict there will be lots more awards where this one came from!

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
