We all know and love Christopher Kane for his use of colour. Remember the fluorescent leather suits in his Spring 2011 collection? Quite a spectacle, right?

Well, we loved it, and in our eyes, Kane can do no wrong (we’re still swooning over his oh-so-pretty Spring/Summer 2012 presentation…)

However, we can see how these neon pink wool crepe trousers may not be to everyone’s liking. Fluorescents have a bit of a bad rep….previously only seen on the road-wary cyclist’s jacket and, erm, highlighter pens, neon isn’t really considered the natural hue of choice when opting for a pair of winter trousers.

But somehow, Kane just makes it work…

He keeps the style simple and tailored to play down the strong colour choice, and suddenly, we’re all questioning why we haven’t always donned neon on our pins!

Well, that’s what we think anyway – but what about you? Are you coveting Kane’s fluorescent vision, or are you leaving the brights to the brave and bold?

Christopher Kane Wool Crepe Trousers, £605, available from Mytheresa.com.
