Salma Hayek v Claire Danes v Kate Hudson – ladies in red at the Vanity Fair Oscars party
Yep, two days after the 84th Annual Academy Awards and we still have Oscars fever. We’ve been flicking through all coverage of those prestigious awards – as well as the glamorous events before and after – for a while now, and the thing that stood out for us was just how many ladies decide to be daring in red at the parties!
Although not many people braved red for the actual carpet – bar Emma Stone in gorgeous Giambattista Valli – it was a red hot choice for the parties! We understand why the colour was avoided (no one wants to clash with the carpet itself, do they?) but in our opinion, if you can’t wear a dress of a bold, daring colour at the Oscars, when can you, eh?
Our three favourite ladies in red all attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Claire Danes, who stunned in a Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 dress, Kate Hudson, who looked phenomenal in a vintage Versace dress and the ultra-glamorous Salma Hayek who jazzed up her Yves Saint Laurent dress with a fun side plait, all got it right for the most important red carpet of the year!
Each of these ladies wore their gowns differently, but if there was room for only one stunning lady in red, who would yours be?
