Cate Blanchett’s opulent vs minimal Harper’s Bazaar UK covers

29th February 2012 10:36 am

What is it with magazine covers going for the good/bad, yin/yang theme these days? Not that we don’t love seeing the cover stars show some diversity and mix it up, of course.

Last month we had Kate Moss get in touch with her good and bad sides for W magazine, and this month we have the wonderful Cate Blanchett going glam and minimal for the UK Haper’s Bazaar Opulent vs Minimal April issue.

On the opulent, newsstand cover, the actress can be seen going for all-out glam in some luxurious Ralph Lauren attire, while she tones it down and sleeks it up on the subscriber’s cover wearing a gorgeous black Lanvin tuxedo dress.

We think she was a great cover star for this concept, don’t you? Which version do you guys prefer?

Harper’s Bazaar’s April issue is out in the UK tomorrow, where you’ll be able to see more pics of Cate’s shoot and read her juicy interview!
