Rihanna sets Boy London Selfridges sales soaring!

6th March 2012 9:09 am

We all know the power of that infamous Kate Middleton effect, but we think the Duchess of Cambridge may have met her match, as the Rihanna effect could well be the next big thing!

Hands up how many of you saw Rihanna’s appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show at the weekend? And how many of you not only noticed how gorgeous the Barbadian singer looked in her Boy London get-up, but strived to emulate her look?

Over 100 online orders were placed for Boy London gear on the Selfridges website on the Saturday night alone, with sales increasing by 45% during the weekend period. We love the label – which has been a hit with music legends since the 70s – at the best of times, but add some Rihanna stardust and it flies off the shelves even quicker than usual!

Saturday night wasn’t the first time Ri-Ri wore something from Boy London, oh no. She recently tweeted a picture of herself in the ‘Boy’ logo cap, and you can see her rocking the iconic repeat print leggings in her You Da One video. So, we think it’s safe to say that she’s a bit of a fan.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about yourself, head to Selfridges or the website. Prices start from just £35.

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
