Vogue Japan editor-in-chief Anna Dello Russo kept out the Parisian chill in a gorgeous luxury white feathered Mongolian lamb coat from Matthew Williamson’s autumn/winter 2011 collection.

We love Anna. We love Matthew. We love the coat. We love the dress. But not all together.

Now don’t get us wrong – we reiterate the fact that we adore all of the above. Matthew Williamson continues to be one of our favourite designers and this coat in particular really stood out to us when we saw it debut last year. But, if we were going to step out in a coat that retails for an eye-watering £5,995, we’d be terribly upset if it blended in with the rest of our outfit and didn’t stand out as the masterpiece it really is.

We would have loved it if ADLR teamed her coat with an outfit that wasn’t printed – or at least wasn’t the same colour as aforementioned coat. The furry and fabulous piece of outerwear was styled to perfection on the Matthew Williamson runway, but we think anything other than a monochrome or similarly coloured printed dress would have worked just as well with it.

What do you think?
