Samantha Cameron and Michelle Obama are ladies in blue at White House state dinner

David Cameron and his wife have been over in the US these past few days, with reports jesting that he and Barack Obama have a bit of a bromance going on, but in our opinion, we think it’s the wives that are getting pally pally. 

After all, how else do you explain their gorgeous matching blue outfits that they wore to the White House state dinner last night, eh?

Michelle Obama wowed in a stunning deep blue off the shoulder Marchesa dress, and completed her look with some bling courtesy of Tom Binns. As well as being draped in a stunning dress, the First Lady was also lucky enough to sit next to the one and only George Clooney at the dinner. Jealous times two!

Samantha Cameron was also a vision of loveliness, as she flew the flag for Britain by choosing a gown by London-based designer Alessandra Rich. Although you can’t see them in this picture, word on the street (well, our inboxes, actually) is that her shoes were from none other than Next! Looks like Kate Middleton’s designer and high street combo is catching on!

Both ladies looked phenomenal, but who pipped the other to the post?
