Emily Blunt talks to Elle UK about how she deals with fame, and her “hysterical” encounter with Barack Obama

4th April 2012 10:30 am

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were literally all over Elle UK last month, and we were very vocal about how much we loved each and every picture of the twins on those covers and in the editorial.

However, we totally think Emily Blunt holds her own as a cover star, as her issue – shot by Thomas Schenk – is another unique, standout one. Especially that gorgeous subscriber’s image… what a pose!

Despite having been in countless films and starring alongside the legendary Meryl Streep, the 29-year-old actress told the mag that she still gets very starstruck, and recalled a very interesting experience with President Obama…

“Obama, that was my worst, I was so starstruck,” Emily said. “They introduced me and then he turned to me and went, ‘Oh. Oh. You are a wonderful actress.’ And I laughed, screechingly and hysterically. I couldn’t stop. They had to usher me away. I fell apart. I don’t know what happened to me. He looked nine-feet tall. I think my eyes rolled back in my head. I gave Michelle a hug and she had skin like silk.”

Aw, bless her. Anyone else want to give her a hug right now?
