Ralph Rucci gets Lifetime Achievement Award

11th April 2012 9:04 am

Huge congrats to Ralph Rucci this morning, as it’s been announced that he will be honoured with Savannah College of Art and Design’s Andre Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award.

Other big names in fashion to be honoured with this award include Marc Jacobs, John Galliano, Manolo Blahnik, Miuccia Prada, Karl Lagerfeld, Vera Wang, and Diane von Furstenberg among others.

“I am very honoured to have been chosen to receive the ALT Lifetime Achievement Award from SCAD this year and am distinctly proud of my association with this wonderful school,” Ralph said in a statement.

“It is surely one of the most important and respected institutions of higher creative learning in America and I am grateful for this great compliment to my work and to the incomparable work of the Chado staff.”

The event takes place on May 19th, with a selection of his designs going on display too. Who else would you like to see receiving this award?

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
