Marchesa could be getting a lot more affordable!
Ok, so maybe the luxury Marchesa label we know and love won’t be dropping its prices any time soon (sob) but word on the grapevine is that Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are in the process of creating a more affordable line. Squeal!
WWD is reporting that Marchesa is currently in talks with LF USA about the release of a more contemporary line… the announcement of which could come any day now. Details are still sketchy, but we’re hoping that with the announcement (whenever that will be) will come more information.
We’re not sure how Marchesa will do ‘casual’ if that’s what it comes down to… have you seen the Oscar-worthy, fairy-tale style dresses that find themselves on the catwalk season after season?
Perhaps Marchesa will meet us somewhere in the middle with something like H&M’s Conscious Glamour Collection so as not to compromise on the essence of the label, which is basically all-out red carpet glam at its finest.
Only time will tell, so watch this space!
