Midweek Moodboard: Yippee for hippie!

18th April 2012 12:05 pm

As we’ve had positively awful weather for mid-April in London this week, you’ll forgive us for having our heads in the clouds and dreaming of sunnier climes. Luckily for us, we’ve had pictures of the Coachella Music Festival to keep us occupied (or jealous, whichever way you look at it) which has us totally obsessed with all things hippie.

If we didn’t love floral garlands, psychedelic printed maxi skirts and flower ribbon wedges before, we definitely do now! So, whether you want to channel the Coachella celebs or just fancy injecting some 60s hippie infusions into your spring/summer wardrobes, we think some of the pieces below are a great way to get you started.

Printed maxi skirt, £140, Walter Van Beirendonck

Pink and white flowered garland, £4.99, New Look

Rayna ballet shoes, £170, Juicy Couture

Elsa cropped crochet-knit top, £310, Missoni

Tie box top, £22, Bank

Fuchsia tribal print kaftan, £12, A Wear

Studded denim shorts, £45, Oasis

Round sunglasses, £285, The Row

Green floppy hat, £8.03, Forever 21

Luciana fabric and leather wrap wedge sandals, £140, UGG

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!

Editor’s Pick

Polish off your sartorial brunch, boardroom and weekend silhouettes with Fendi's black textured leather duffle tote accented with tonal cow-print haircalf trim for that extra kick of Italian flair.
