Jessica Simpson gives birth to baby girl!
It was quite literally only yesterday when we pondered when Jessica Simpson would give birth, but now the wait is officially over.
Not one to do things by halves, Jess let her fans and the rest of the world know that she had given birth by posting a banner on her personal website.
“Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson,” the banner read. “We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have receives. This has been the greatest experience of our lives.”
Predictably, baby Maxwell was quite a large one, weighing in at 9 lbs 13oz.
The very journalist-friendly banner also meant that there was no confusion as far as the name was concerned – remember the Beyonce Blue Ivy/Ivy Blue saga?
Now that we can stop monitoring Jessica Simpson’s maternity fashion, we will be keeping an eye on baby Maxwell’s little garments… we know she’s going to be one very stylish child!
Congrats again to Jessica and Eric Johnson.
