Ke$ha gets patriotic for V magazine

3rd May 2012 11:00 am

We’ve just seen Kate Moss’s British Vogue June cover, which celebrates the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics, i.e. all things British, but it looks like V magazine has gone in the total opposite direction.

While British Vogue is celebrating the UK, V is showing the USA some love by having popstar Ke$ha on the cover of what it is branding “the Americana issue”. And we think we can all be in agreement that nothing says patriotism quite like covering your face in your country’s flag…

Ke$ha was shot by photography legends Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and was styled by Carylene Cerf de Dudzeele.

Although we can’t wait to see the rest of the editorial pics, we are really looking forward to reading Ke$ha’s interview, as she is always very candid and never fails to speak her mind.

“If anyone tries to tell you that you can’t do what you want to, I think you should give them the finger and do it anyway,” is just one of the Ke$ha gems that we can look forward to!

V’s Americana Issue hits newsstands May 10th.

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
