Iris Apfel to launch handbag line with HSN
90-year-old fashion icon Iris Apfel is once again teaming up with the Home Shopping Network, this time to launch a 12-piece handbag collection entitled ‘Extinctions’!
“The old bag is getting into bags,” Iris told WWD about her new project. We couldn’t have put it better ourselves; we hope the handbag line is just as eccentric and over-the-top as she is!
The fashion icon’s new collection will feature handbags in an array of luxury materials, including Mongolian lamb’s fur and snakeskin among others. Prices will range from £228 to $398, and the bags will apparently come in five different colours.
“I’m a colour person. I’ve never been known to play it safe,” she told WWD. “Plus I like big bags. My eyeglasses are so big they don’t fit into smaller bags.”
Gotta love this woman! The Extinctions collection is due to be released in the autumn.
