Lady Gaga’s turquoise wig made a very welcome return as she touched down in Sydney, Australia at the weekend. However, it was not in the shape and form we were used to, as instead of channeling loveable matriarch Marge Simpson, Gaga sought inspiration from 40s icon Betty Grable. Take a look at these pics to see what we mean…

Mother Monster’s locks weren’t the only thing we were impressed by though – we are quite fond of her floor-length cut-out sparkling Atelier Versace dress too. The gown is more ‘space age’ than ‘40s glam’ but we think it’s just the perfect amount of traditional-meets-contemporary elegance, which is Lady Gaga in a nutshell.

We love the look on Gaga, but would need the inside of the dress to be a little longer for us to consider wearing it ourselves. We don’t have the body of a pop goddess just yet.
