Spotlight on: ABO London
We’re kicking off the week by introducing you to one of our favourite new labels: ABO London.
The brand is the brainchild of Kazakhstan-born Aliya Boranbayeva and Aizhan Bodanova, and came together as they wanted to fuse the rich, cultural Central Asian heritage with the modern, diverse and dynamic one of London.
ABO London has an exclusive range of limited-edition, luxury silk scarves which are ethically made with high quality and eco-friendly fabrics. Each and every scarf design offers something different, with the prints being based on Aliya’s original artwork.
Perhaps the best thing we love about ABO London is the fact that the scarves are made right here in the UK. We think you know by now that 2012 is an incredible year to be proud of our country, so why not translate our patriotism into our fashion?
Most of the scarves are of the bright, bold and very colourful variety, so they’re not for the colour-shy. However, the ‘dark shadows’ scarf, which comes in grey and black, is a gorgeous piece to add to a chic, night-time, gothic-inspired look.
The triangle scarves have to be our faves, because they are double sided – great for the indecisive among us!
