Catering to our style and beauty needs for staycations, spa breaks and beach holidays and a whole lot more, by cherry picking products from ‘high/low’ fashion and beauty brands, Style Passport is the go-to destination for stylish holiday essentials.

My Fashion Life caught up with the lady behind it all, Sarah Walter, who after starting a placement at British Vogue the same day Anna Wintour started at the magazine, and holding senior positions at Marie Claire, and Harpers, decided to set up Style Passport out of a ‘lifelong dream.’

Meet the woman who’s done it all…

How did the idea to set up a specific platform like Style Passport come about?

Style Passport is the culmination of my careers in magazines and then retail, combined with my huge passion for travel and adventure.

Name three holiday spots you regularly visit and why.

Our Cottage in the Brecon Beacons in Wales as often as I can to walk, garden and spend quality time with my family and friends. Baros in the Maldives which is the most perfect tiny island I have ever visited, with the best fish life I have ever seen, and New York. A friend said her only regret in life is she cannot visit New York for the first time again, I agree.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?

I’m getting keener and keener on California, the lifestyle is very appealing all that delicious food and wine and the drives……

Three things I never travel (abroad) without are…

My iPhone for music, maps and note taking, a huge pair of sunglasses (currently loving Linda Farrow giant pink shades) to feel glamorous, protect me from the sun and to disguise jet lagged eyes. And finally a scarf which can be a wrap, towel, skirt, head wrap and of course a scarf; Missoni is the best.

What are your wardrobe staples?

Stripes by Petit Bateau, Chinos, jersey wear by American Vintage, dresses from my travels and Mara Hoffman, and Carven; Grenson brogues and a splash of neon (currently a bangle) so I still feel young.

Who is your favourite fashion designer and why?

It’s probably Missoni. I have worn their bikinis since I first worked in magazines and they always make me feel that summer has arrived. I have a dress of theirs which is my ‘go to’ party staple and their sunglasses and scarves are holiday necessities. I think I love the fact the brand is a family whose ethos is about style more than fashion.

You have three minutes for a rapid trolley dash on Style Passport; what would you buy?

MIH capris in white, Petit bateau maillot and white converse.

Do you have any holiday beauty essentials you can’t live without?

BECCA beach tint was recommended by Laura Bailey when she wrote the Telegraph beauty pages. I’ve never read anything and then gone and bought it owing to an article but I did buy BECCA’s beach tint and have used it for ten years since. It’s a great product which picks you up when you need it most.

In a fire, what would you rescue from your wardrobe?

My Vivienne Westwood silk jersey wedding dress; it was the best day of my life.

Featuring brands including IRO, Petit Bateau and Invisible Zinc, stock up on all your holiday style and beauty essentials at Style Passport.
