Tom Ford comes to London, Azzedine Alaia goes to Paris

10th July 2012 10:54 am

Just yesterday we told you Karl Lagerfeld was coming to London to launch yet another collection in Selfridges, but he isn’t the only designer to get swept up in London 2012 fever.

Tom Ford will be opening his first ever British standalone store in London’s Sloane Street (201-206 to be precise), and it will be neighbours with the likes of Gucci, Fendi and Chanel. The exact opening date has yet to be confirmed, but you can still shop his collections in Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols, as well as online, in the meantime.

Also opening a new store is Azzedine Alaia – and as it will be his first in over 20 years, it’s pretty exciting stuff! His shop, however, will be in Paris, and will sit pretty on the Rue de Marignan (just off Avenue Montaigne where Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior live.)

Things are always a big deal where Alaia is concerned – the designer essentially only creates new collections when he feels like it, so we assume he feels the exact same way about stores too. More deets as and when we get them, as always!

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
