The Olympics just got a lot more fashionable! Yes we’ve been interested in the Stella McCartney-designed uniforms and all the Olympics-themed collections that have been thrust in our faces, but it’s a whole new ball game now that Chanel has been thrown into the equation.

The French fashion House will be opening its first ever dedicated perfume store in Covent Garden later his month to coincide with the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Chanel will open a two-floor pop up shop in the Market Building in the Piazza, with all the classic fragrances and beauty collections available to snap up.

“Introducing premium beauty brands into the Market Building has always been a part of our retail strategy for Covent Garden,” said Beverley Churchill, the Covent Garden London brand director.  “To open this fragrance and beauty concept store is a great coup for the estate and further proof point of how the area has changed.”

We don’t yet know the exact opening date or how long the pop up store will stay for (although it’s currently set to open for six months) but we’ll keep you posted.
