Opening Ceremony finally pops up in London!

20th July 2012 1:05 pm

We revealed earlier this year that one of our fave New York boutiques Opening Ceremony would be coming to London by way of a pop up shop and then a permanent store… and now we’re pleased to tell you that the pop up shop has officially arrived in Covent Garden!

And doesn’t it look fab? The amazing thing is that Humberto Leon and Carol Lim only had seven days to decorate, although you’d never be able to tell!

“We had a week to set up the shop,” Humberto told The Telegraph. “It was like a game show. At least we have three months to set up the new store, which has a whole new feel. This pop-up is temporary and we are very much against waste so we kept the store fit to a minimum with a lot of product.”

Very sensible indeed. If this is what the pop up shop looks like, we can’t even imagine how wow-some the permanent store is going to be!

Opening Ceremony is currently at 31 King Street in Covent Garden. Will you be popping in or are you going to wait until the permanent store opens?
