Monique Lhuillier is branching out into footwear!

26th July 2012 10:19 am

If you love the indulgent and dreamlike side of fashion, you’re in luck, as luxury bridal and ready-to-wear designer Monique Lhuillier is launching her very own footwear line!

Although the shoes on her models’ feet for the past three years have been her own designs, Monique’s shoes have never been available for the public to buy… until now!

“What I learned about the shoe business and the shoe process is that it takes a lot longer than making a soft garment. I’ve always wanted to dress women from head to toe,” the designer told WWD, adding that she wanted the shoes in her collection to be “sexy, feminine, and glamorous.

Isn’t that what everyone looks for in a shoe? Monique’s debut will be a 15-piece collection which will consist of bridal, evening and casual day styles. The collection is set to expand to a full line for the autumn/winter 2013 season! Excited?

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
