Swarovski collaborates with Yoko Ono for Fashion’s Night Out

6th September 2012 12:41 pm

We’re currently knee-deep in invites for tonight’s Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, and while we still don’t know which stores we will actually go and visit (we’re taking a “stumble into whatever takes our fancy” approach this year) one of the few places definitely on our to-do list is Swarovski.

And we recommend you do the same too as Swarovski Elements has collaborated with Yoko Ono for a fab new “key” collection, and it’s being launched tonight!

“Amongst her latest creative endeavours is her collaboration with Swarovski Elements,” reads a press release. “The resulting cool and contemporary ‘Key-cut’ crystal collection combines her trademark wit with a search for deeper philosophical meaning, and will be launched in Fall 2012.

“Designed around the theme of ‘Unlocking the Door to a Better Life’, the collection has distinct echoes of a childhood spent in war-torn Japan, which motivated Yoko Ono’s commitment to pacifism.”

So, basically, it’s well worth heading to the store to get the first look and snap up a piece before anyone else!

We’ll keep you updated on Twitter throughout the evening, and will also give you a full report on what we went to, who we saw, what we snapped and what we bought tomorrow. See you there!

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
