If you always saw yourself skipping down the yellow brick road wearing ruby slippers, pigtails in your hair and a blue gingham dress then you’re in luck. If you have a minimum of $600,000 that you’re willing to spend, that is.

Judy Garland’s iconic blue and white gingham dress from The Wizard of Oz could be yours, as it goes under the hammer next month at the Icons and Idols 2012:Hollywood auction in Beverly Hills.

Dorothy’s dress isn’t the only thing from the classic Hollywood vault to be released though, as dresses worn by Julie Andrews and Charmian Carr (Liesl) from The Sound of Music, a Golden Globe won by Elizabeth Taylor, and several pieces worn by Marilyn Monroe are a few of the other items up for grabs.

Brit fans of classic Hollywood can also get their fix at the V&A museum later this month, as items such as Marilyn Monroe’s Seven Year Itch dress and Audrey Hepburn’s Givenchy Breakfast at Tiffany’s dress will be going on display. Click here to refresh your memory!

Judy’s dress and the rest of the items from the Icons and Idols 2012: Hollywood auction will go on display at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills on November 5th, with the main auction taking place on November 9th. Anyone getting on a plane and putting in a bid? Anyone?
