Selfridges turns pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

12th October 2012 11:22 am

Thanks to Barbie and our love of lending support to good causes, we couldn’t have been happier to learn that one of our favourite London department stores had temporarily turned pink!

Yep, Selfridges London – as well as Manchester Trafford, Manchester Exchange, Birmingham and Selfridges.com – has been given a touch of pink in support of the Estee Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

The department store’s new pink make-over is part of the Global Illumination Initiative, whereby 200 buildings will be lit up in the colour to raise awareness for the campaign which is now in its 20th year!

If you want to lend your support to the cause, simply head to your nearest Estee Lauder counter and snap up some of the products that have been created especially for the cause, including the Evelyn Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley Dream Lip Collection and Evelyn Lauder Dream Compact.

Alternatively, you can click through to the Selfridges website to shop from the comfort of your own home.

Do you like the store’s new look?

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
