The EMAs may have just been and gone, but it was time for another celebration of all things musical last night, as the 40th Annual American Music Awards took place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
As predicted, the red carpet was full of beautifully-dressed stars not just from the music biz but from all walks of celebrity life. As well as the big musicians such as Gwen Stefani and Taylor Swift, the red carpet was also graced by the likes of top supermodel Heidi Klum and George Clooney’s gorgeous (and very lucky) girlfriend Stacy Keibler, amongst others.
Although there was no dress code and obvious theme, the attendees kept things young, fun and flirty, with a definite nod to the upcoming festive season given all the sparkle! It was all quite understated, chic and beautiful, as even the likes of Nicki Minaj and Christina Aguilera swapped their loud, eccentric outfits for more conventional ones – and as a result, looked gorgeous in their respective gowns. (Yes, we know Nicki’s dress is a very bright yellow and doesn’t fit everyone’s definition of the word “understated”, but we definitely think she toned it down since she didn’t arrive towing her very own Pope…)
