Midweek Moodboard: Pantone-approved emerald

12th December 2012 12:53 pm

So according to Pantone, emerald is the colour of 2013 – which is why we have dedicated this week’s moodboard to the rich and luscious shade.

What do you think of when you hear the word “emerald”? We tend to think of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz and his glorious Emerald City, and therefore think of splendour, grandeur and generally all things rich and luxurious. It’s also a classic Christmas shade, so you can totally get away with rocking any of the pieces we have selected over the holiday season: you will be both festive and on-trend – and who doesn’t want that?!

Here are a few of our favourite emerald pieces:

Emerald crepe dress, £49, Minuet Petite available at Debenhams

Dolly orchid platform pumps, £644, Charlotte Olympia available at My Theresa

Beaded bracelet set, £2, George at ASDA

Emerald green nail paint, £2.99, Barry M available at Superdrug

Nail jewellery, £10.95, Nails Inc available at Nelly

Roll neck jumper, £79, available at Reiss

Jewel box clutch, £20, available at Dorothy Perkins

Lavinia dress, £65, Coast available at House of Fraser

Pleated  bubble skirt, £110, available at Reiss

About us

Welcome to My Fashion Life!

Launched in 2003 My Fashion Life is one of the UK’s leading top fashion blogs. Recognised for combining all the quality content you’d expect to find in an online magazine with the honest opinion and tone of a blog.

We love designer fashion, but we love a damn good bargain, too, so while we might lust after Lanvin one minute, we’ll be traipsing to Topshop the next.

You guys are the only reason we get up at 6am to cover the royal wedding and go to bed 5am after the Oscars – we’re dedicated to bringing you the juiciest gossip from the fashion world and delivering the best shopping guides we can muster, because hey, we’re just doing our job. And it’s a good job we love it!
