holiday essentials

Squeezing in one last sun-drenched holiday before reluctantly waving goodbye to the British summer? (Gosh, it has been good to us this year) The rush that ensues post holiday-booking can often mean jetting out with an overflowing suitcase, sometimes forgetting to pack those holiday essentials you couldn’t otherwise imagine vaycay-ing without!

So, to make the packing process that bit easier, we’ve rounded up a selection of last minute holiday essentials you shouldn’t even think about departing without:

Flip flops. OK, so they’re not the most flattering of the footwear lot but, undoubtedly, holiday essentials. Pack a good quality pair you’ll feel comfortable strolling around in, on and off the beach. Lined with soft padded satin, flip flops don’t get more luxurious than this Reef Dream Prints pair.

Bikini. Possibly the first item you’d fling into an empty suitcase when holiday packing, don’t jet off without a show-stopping bikini in tow. Mixing bold colour with a quirky digi-print, this flamingo-print bikini set wouldn’t look out of place in the glam surrounds of South Beach.

Kaftan. The ideal beach-to-bar candidate, you can’t go wrong with a gorgeous kaftan. Breezy, and perfect for balmy evenings beachside; this dip dye pelican kaftan may quickly become your best beach bud. Pair with sandals and shorts for a relaxed evening look.

Beach bag. How else would you carry your latest holiday read, sun protection and all other manner of beach essentials? Why in a trusty beach bag, of course! Splashed with statement embellishment, this Liquorish beach bag is guaranteed to clock up secret glances from fellow sunbathers! Just don’t forget to do the obligatory round of the beach to show it off!

Sunglasses. Keeping your peepers protected from intense sunlight is important, so why not do it stylishly? We love a classic frame when it comes to sunnies, and these universally flattering Marc by Marc Jacobs aviator shades certainly fit the bill.

Hat. A wide-brimmed hat is ideal for covering your face from direct sunlight, and we can’t think of a contender classier than this gorgeous Topshop fedora. Sensibility and style all rolled into one. Perfect.
