Banana Republic collaborates with Marimekko for limited edition capsule collection

We were suitably blown away with the Banana Republic x L’Wren Scot collaboration (mainly because the pieces could have come straight out of a L’Wren Scott lookbook!) but now it looks like Banana Republic has another partnership in the works.

Banana Republic has joined forces with Finnish brand Marimekko for a limited edition capsule collection of women’s clothes and accessories, and from what we can see in the pic above, it’s going to be a good’un!

“The stunning thing about Marimekko is that everyone has heard of it or has had some history with it because of the beautiful prints,” said Melloney Birkett, a spokesperson for Banana Republic.

Key pieces of the collection include classic Banana Republic Hampton pants in a Marimekko inspired black and white polka dot pattern, bold printed zip clutches, polka dot ballet flats, and a dramatic full skirt which, if you cast your minds back to a few weeks ago, we told you was one of the ultimate spring/summer pieces to own.

We can expect the collection, priced between $39.40 and $149, to drop in stores worldwide and online from May. What do you think of the first look above?
