Rihanna honoured with Fashion Icon Award

It’s safe to say that Rihanna has influenced her fair share of girls with her on and off stage sartorial choices, so it comes as no surprise to learn that she is being honoured for her contribution to fashion.

The Bajan singer and designer will receive the 2014 CFDA Fashion Icon Award, following in the footsteps of the very stylish Kate Moss and Lady Gaga!

“We are proud to present Rihanna with the CFDA Fashion Icon Award for her impact on the industry as fashion’s most exciting ambassador in recent memory”, said Steven Kolb, CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

Congratulations, Rihanna! We can’t wait to see what she’s going to wear to the ceremony on June 2nd to accept her award. Will she go bold and brash or understated and sophisticated?
