With every trip across the Channel to Paris, comes a trip to Sephora on the fashionable Champs Elysees!
I don’t know what it is about this beauty brand that draws me in and makes my heart beat a little faster. I mean, living in London I should be more than satisfied with my choice of make-up brands.
I have Mac, Bobbi Brown and high street favourite, Barry M on my doorstep, but would rather buy in bulk on my yearly trips to Sephora than pop to Selfridges for a bright Mac lippy.

Styled like a Rolex, but without the price tag, ToyWatch has become the latest must-have accessory amongst celebrities. As seen on the wrists of talk show queen Oprah, Jessica Alba, Clive Owen and Madonna (to name but a few) it’s created a new type of anti-luxury statement amongst the rich and famous.
This lightweight, oversized plastic watch, inspired by high design timepieces, first came onto the market in 2006, and proved so popular, that the manufacturers opened a standalone store only a year later in Milan. The buzz surrounding the launch of ToyWatch was so impressive that it was likened to that of Swatch when it first made its debut in the 1980s!

I pride myself on being quite open-minded when it comes to fashion, trying any look and trend at least once. So, when I had my first trip to London’s infamous Dover Street Market (the home of all things avant-garde), I was more than a little taken aback. Instead of being greeted by your usual department store clone, I was approached by someone who appeared to be wearing a purple padded pregnant suit with matching horn-rimmed glasses. Interesting, or just plain weird - is this what fashion has come to?

Oversized sunglasses are still hot! Popularised in 2007 by the likes of Nicole Richie and her ex-stylist Rachel Zoe, the John Lennon-style sunglasses made a come back on the 2008/9 catwalks. While there are lots of designers to choose from, we love Ralph Laurens 1960’s inspired pair. Also on our wish list…Christian Dior’s squared off version.

I’m sure you’ve seen the African prints on the runways for SS’08, you only have to look to Christopher Kane and Donna Karen to see where the look of the season is going, and now H&M have launched a new ethnic-inspired collection to make it just a little easier for us.

Unlike clothing and hair trends that change from season to season, sunglasses styles seldom undergo any major seasonal changes. I mean look at the Rayban Wayfarers and Aviators that are still seen on tonnes of celebs from LA to London (The Olsens, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller to name but a few). But that doesn’t mean you can get away with just any old style this summer season.

So, you go and buy yourself a stylish iPhone and then discover that the only protective covers out there are made of a very unstylish plastic or rubber. You have to protect the screen of your gadget, but so you want to look like a business executive in the process. No? I didn’t think so. Well, you are in luck, because some of the funkiest, most revered designers out there now have trendy, sexy little numbers available in store so that you don’t have to play the corporate game.

Last weekend during the only snowstorm of the year, my trusty Converse trainers broke. I was wondering why my toes were feeling damp, when I looked down and saw a crack the size of the Grand Canyon spreading southwards down the sole of my shoe.
I always hate when my shoes break, because they become like a close friend, trusty and steadfast. Now I need to get looking for another pair in time for my trip to Paris next week, but where do I look? And what style do I choose?

Boy, oh boy, a new underwear brand has come to London town and its sexy. Kiki lingerie has my girlfriends (and their boyfriends) talking. I don’t blame them. Kiki De Montparnasse has some very exciting things on offer - they are chic, very hype, and very, very naughty and I don’t mean in an Ann Summers kind of way. Think Agent Provocateur but without the feathers and leather…I am talking sterling silver, 24K gold, pearls and some very interesting titanium pieces.
