Hannah Marshall’s look is as striking as her womenswear label – strong, sleek and sophisticated. Through sheer hard work and determination Marshall has garnered attention from some of the worlds top style bibles and her intelligent approach to design has gained her a following of loyal customers…. What’s the most interesting aspect of your job? That’s a really difficult question to answer, because running your own business encompasses so many different aspects to it that I love. The most rewarding aspect is seeing an entire collection come together, for example in September when my collection hit the catwalk for the first time to On|Off during London Fashion Week. And the worst? Dealing with all the financial going on – like cash flow forecasts and VAT returns. It’s boring and time consuming but absolutely essential.

At just 18, she took the make-up world by storm, and boldly created her first line of lipsticks, appropriately named “Poppy.” After gaining great success with her line and inspiring women to paint their pouts with dramatic Hollywood flair, Poppy moved away from her home in Australia and began a long and established career at Estée Lauder in New York City. Years later, she’s returned to doing what she does best - giving our overly glossed lips something new and daring to smile about with her new line Lipstick Queen!

In the world of fashion, Zoe Lem does it all. Whether it’s styling the stars for the red carpet and participants on the UK version of “What Not to Wear”, or flying off to the Middle East to work with the English language version of the Al-Jazeera news network, she’s been there, done that, and with a certain je ne sais quoi. Lem trained as a designer before deciding to focus on styling, and now her work can be seen on A-list celebs, magazine covers, music videos, and a myriad of other places. So, the favourite question to ask stylists and designers: who would you consider to be your biggest influences? That really is a difficult one to give a one word answer, I am very inspired by vintage clothing and the 20’s through to 50’s there was such beautiful style. If it’s who rather than what, then there is no one person. But my mother was really so into clothing growing up, even now her favorite shop is Topshop and she has a very funky style. I was brought up on charity shops, markets and finding great bargains in unusual places, a long while before it was cool to go for second hand chic!
