Eva Longoria’s Super Cute Pyjama-Themed Baby Shower

Eva Longoria’s baby shower took place on Saturday and the actress was surrounded by a wealth of celebrity friends by her side. Held at the Lombardi House in Los Angeles, guests at the pyjama-themed party included Denise Vasi, Sophia Bush, Melanie Griffith, Marcia Cross and many more. Wearing a strapless lace white dress, Eva was positively glowing as she celebrated the upcoming birth of her first child with hubby José “Pepe” Bastón. Guests were pampered with massages and hair and makeup, while those who won the fun baby shower games were treated to gift baskets containing Mama Bear essentials. And the cake? A super cute diaper cake was generously donated to the festivities by Amazon’s Mama Bear. With not long to go, we can’t wait till we’re introduced to Baby Baston.

Eva Longoria rocks best friend Victoria Beckham’s dress in London

Eva Longoria looks incredible on the London Global Gift Gala red carpet in her floor-length black dress designed by her good friend Victoria Beckham. However, it could have had a totally different outcome if it wasn’t for the designer herself coming to the rescue in Eva’s time of need. The Twittersphere blew up yesterday when VB tweeted a pic of herself on her knees altering Eva Longoria’s dress for the event; what other high profile designer best friend do you know who would do that? Eva accessorised her VB-altered dress with some seriously smoldering dramatic black eyes, a sleek pulled back hairdo and some ultra sparkly stud earrings. Gorgeous as always, Eva – Victoria Beckham would be proud!

A prime example of smart casual courtesy of Eva Longoria

Going out to dinner with the boyfriend or to a show with the girls but not quite sure what to wear? Perhaps you have to make a mad dash for it after work and you haven’t got time to change? If you find yourself in this sartorial predicament and are a bit stumped for outfit ideas, we’d like to refer you to Eva Longoria’s latest look for inspiration. The pint sized former Desperate Housewives actress got the smart/casual/sexy balance just right when she was spotted out in LA the other night on her way to celeb-fave Katsuya. She proved that you don’t need to always go for a tight fitting dress or pile on the accessories to turn on the glam factor, as she looked effortlessly chic in a pair of white trousers, a smart loose-fitting printed blouse and wow-worthy Brian Atwood sandals. The shoes definitely did the talking as far as this ensemble was concerned – no one can deny the power of a fierce pair of heels! Taking a fab but versatile pair of heels into the office for last-minute outfit changes is not only advised, but heartily encouraged if you often find yourself rushing off somewhere dressier after work. We love the cute hairband, too! [Image]

Eva Longoria is red hot in floor-length John Galliano

Jessica Rabbit, eat your heart out – there’s a new sexy scarlet goddess in town and her name is Eva Longoria! Yep, our favourite former Desperate Housewives star looked nothing short of phenomenal on the red carpet last night, as she donned a floor-length John Galliano dress for the 2013 Laureus World Sports Awards which took place in Rio de Janeiro. Eva sported some seriously smouldering eye make up to add the sultry factor to the look, and left her enviable brunette wavy locks tumble over her shoulders. The best thing about this dress (apart from the fact that Eva was wearing it) is the sexy scoop back. Chic and demure in the front and daring and sexy in the back – is there anything this dress doesn’t have? Another red carpet triumph for Ms Longoria!

Get Eva Longoria’s casual spring-ready look

You know that spring has well and truly sprung when the bright nail polish is evident on the hands and feet of the celebs – and Eva Longoria’s bold orange mani pedi is a great example. The pint-sized Hollywood actress truly embraced the good weather by opting for some cool white jeans paired with some bejewelled sandals, which is a great combination to try out if you’re feeling brave enough. We say “brave” because not only do you have to deal with the VPL problem that comes with light-coloured trousers, but you’ll also have to be very careful to avoid spilling things on them which is probably easier said than done. Best to avoid public transport, parks and picnics as well, just to be on the safe side! Still, if you want to steal Eva’s cool and effortless spring style then check out the pieces we’ve selected below! Now please excuse us while we make an appointment for the nail salon… Pink and grey stripe jumper, £70, available at Austique Skinny fit jeggings, £14, available at Matalan Black zip mini bag, £9.50, available at BHS Flat sandals, £45, Aldo available at House of Fraser Hot & Spicy nail polish, £15.95, O.P.I available at Nelly

Eva Longoria vs. Jennifer Lopez in The Row

You know it’s serious when a fash-off involves leather. This week sees two uber-chic ladies  go head-to-head in a killer leather ensemble, as Eva Longoria and Jennifer Lopez make it virtually impossible for our fashion eyes to choose between them! Leather does pretty much require a PHD in body perfection to carry it off with aplomb (that’s a given for this hot twosome), and one misplaced bulge will result in an unsightly, ‘Snooki effect’ to your look. But seeing Eva and JLo in The Row’s Risting leather dress only added to our new season trend envy. Leather is huge news for autumn/winter 2012′, but whom out of the two ladies made it their own? Eva Longoria wore the Risting leather dress to the Padres’ El Sueno De Esperanza Benefit Gala after party, styling it with a top knot, clutch and Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps. On the other hand, voluptuous derrière owner, JLo,  was spotted in the Risting leather dress whilst on a dinner date with beau Casper Smart. Fierce as ever in the wardrobe department, Ms. Lopez paired the leather dress with Tom Ford Padlock ankle strap pumps, STARK Lady of the Night clutch and a statement red lip. Both Eva and Jen look stunning in their respective outfits, but there’s only room for one style victory… Fash-off champion: We love a look with a twist, and even though Eva’s polished look works wonders on her, it’s also a little tried and tested. Predictably Eva, maybe. Jen’s slick of red lipstick and wispy hairdo is definitely a winner for us, and adds character to an otherwise simple leather look. We just can’t stop ogling those Tom Ford padlock pumps! Major want!

Eva Longoria perfects the off-duty look with Coach

We’re in an off-duty admiration mood this afternoon – and who better to look to for style inspiration than Eva Longoria, hm? The stunning Latina always manages to look just as effortlessly cool and gorgeous when she’s walking around town minding her own business as she does when she’s dressed up to the nines at a super-glam red carpet function. Us, jealous? Well, maybe a tad, but can you blame us? Eva strolled through Los Angeles in a monochrome printed maxi dress which she accessorised with flat sandals (the perfect choice for a casual walk) and a matching hat to protect her gorgeous brunette mane from the sun. The stand-out piece was of course the bright red Coach Legacy Leather duffle, which just goes to show how powerful those all-important statement pieces can be. Steal Eva’s style by investing in this bright beauty, or any other bold coloured piece of arm (or shoulder) candy that takes your fancy!

Eva Longoria’s summer-perfect look in Versus lands Best Dressed of the Week

While most of the A-listers are steaming ahead in the fashion game and showing up to various glitzy events in fall 2012 and pre summer 2013, fresh-off-the-runway outfits, we were very pleased to see Eva Longoria cling to her spring/summer 2012 style allegiance! What a relief to see a refreshing colour palette on the red carpet, after a wave of intense plums, emerald greens and blacks! Eva opted for a printed, sea foam green spring/summer 2012 Versus number while attending a photocall for Desperate Housewives at the 52nd Monte Carlo TV Festival. Complementing her dress with Brian Atwood ‘Zenith Lux’ pumps in eye-popping pink, complete with jeweled detailing at the back; a quiffed ponytail and smoky eyes, Eva looked fresh, and her pretty-in-pastel effort is a definite standout look for us. This lady has an envy-inducing red carpet record, and this look is no exception. Sticking to her current season guns, hats off to our BDOTW star!

Love or Hate: Eva Longoria in Rupert Sanderson

Eva Longoria has been our Queen of Cannes this year, thanks to the gorgeous Marchesa dress she wore to the opening ceremony and then every single frock after that. However, it isn’t just the fairytale-worthy gowns that have us championing the Desperate Housewives star. Eva’s casual/dressed down looks are just as attention grabbing. Take this one for example…

Eva Longoria in George Hobeika

Pint-sized Latino Eva Longoria certainly took Madrid by storm Sunday night as the sexy senorita played host to the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards. Wearing a total of 10 outfits during the course of the night, the Desperate Housewives star was definitely on top fashionable form – and yes, that does include her Lady Gaga parody mock-meat costume… what can we say, we love a little humour. But the most glamorous ensemble of them all has to be the stunning George Hobeika dress the actress wore at the beginning of the night. The velvet and sheer layered puff ball dress looked utterly stunning upon her golden brown skin, while the sheer embellished chest detailing only added to the true beauty of the piece – and though the cut may have been a little too short for some, it was perfect for Eva with pins like those. Teamed with round-pointed black stilettos and sultry red-carpet makeup, Ms. Longoria was certainly dressed to impress.

Eva Longoria in Victoria Beckham

On her recent trip to the UK for the launch of her new perfume Eva For Women, Eva Longoria spent some of her free time on a girls’ night out with friends Victoria Beckham and Tana Ramsay, where the trio hit up Gordon Ramsay’s Maze restaurant in Mayfair to bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to the English capital. Whilst both Tana and Victoria opted for signature black, Eva stood out from the crowd by sporting an elegant dove grey dress from Victoria Beckhams’s AW10 collection – and we can’t fault her. With structured shoulders and a figure-hugging shape against loose hair and simple jewellery, it’s hard to say she looked anything other than beautiful. And were loving the way she didn’t go full-on matchy-matchy with the accessories, either.

MET Ball 2010: Eva Longoria Parker in Marchesa

It’s rare that Eva Longoria Parker gets it wrong when it comes to picking the right dress and her appearance at the Costume Institute Gala recently is no exception. Wearing red-carpet favourite Marchesea her platinum crepe column gown steals the show as Eva channels old style glamour with her side parted set and wave hair. The silver embroidery adds a touch of classic detailing to this contemporary take on the floor length gown, and the flared cascade skirt adds real wow-factor to the dress. Doing floor length dresses in oyster, cream and neutral shades is a venture into a difficult area as looking like a bride-to-be is always a distinct possibility, but the ankle-revealing length teamed with her fierce shoes firmly puts this dress in red-carpet domain. It’s a really sophisticated look for Eva and against her warm skin tone the champagne colour of the dress looks stunning – a true A-list starlet in a truly A-list designer.

Finding The Right Glasses For Your Face

Shopping for clothes is tough, shopping for glasses is tougher. This is because our faces are the most unique parts of us. Think about how many other people you know who are the same height or body type as you, or have the same foot size. We choose the length of leg or width of waist when buying jeans, and shoes come in helpful sizes and even half sizes. So why then is it so much harder with glasses and sunglasses? Why are there no sizes or precise criteria for us to follow? And it’s worse, because glasses can either work with our features or against them in a way clothes usually don’t. And the stakes are even higher with glasses — especially if you wear them every day. Well this guide looks to demystify glasses and how to choose the right pair for your face shape and size. It’s been written with the help and insight of Red Hot Sunglasses, who are experts in all things glasses and sunglasses. Face size First of all, it’s important to work out whether or not you have a large face or a small face. This can be trickier than it sounds as it can be arbitrary as to what constitutes a small or large face, and especially hard if you think you might actually be somewhere in the middle. Small face If you don’t know if you have a small face, compare yourself to these celebrities: Women: Kristen Stewart, Sarah Hyland, Reece Witherspoon Men: Colin Farrell, Jude Law, Leonardo DiCaprio If your face is small and you’re a woman, then the best advice is to opt for large or oversized glasses and sunglasses as the big, chunkier frames will actually emphasise your more feminine, softer features. Other great styles include cat eye […]

Victoria Beckham to receive ‘Global Gift Philanthropeneur Award’

It’s been a good year for Victoria Beckham. Actually, we think every year is a good one as she has a scrumptious husband, four incredibly gorgeous children, and a fashion empire… but we think 2014 is going to be particularly memorable for her. As well as launching her debut standalone store in London and clearing out her wardrobe in a rather epic and legendary way, Victoria Beckham will now also be the recipient of a Philanthropic Award at the Global Gift Gala. Exciting stuff! VB will be given the ‘Global Gift Philanthropeneur Award’ at Eva Longoria’s Global Gift Gala for her work with numerous charities including Born Free Africa, British Red Cross, mothers2mothers, Save the Children, the Elton John AIDS Foundation, and the UN. (She’s the Global Goodwill Ambassador for the UN’S UNAIDS campaign, don’tcha know!) “I am very much looking forward to returning to The Global Gift Gala to support my good friend Eva Longoria,” VB said. “It is also a great honour to be receiving the Global Gift Philanthropeneur Award at this special event”. What will she wear for the event? We’ll just have to wait and see – but we guarantee she will be sharp, fierce, and oh so chic as always. Congrats, Victoria!

Stacking Rings: In or Out?

From sweet pink wedding gowns to unique collections of impeccable antique and contemporary stacked rings, this is the year when everything goes. As long as the look captures your essence and it doesn’t overwhelm the rest of your style, why not? The following four suggestions offer some exciting new ways to stack your rings. Engagement Rings and Diamonds: During the past few years, women around the world have been stacking engagement rings, like those found at Michael Hill Jewellers. Oval solitaires, white gold, and heirloom bands… the possibilities are as diverse and lovely as the celebrities. Kate Beckinsale, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria Parker, and Mariah Carey are just a few of the great trend setters who have added their personal flair to this fashionable trend. One of the many advantages of stacking engagement, wedding, and other bands is that the look can be dressed up or down, depending on the event; an antique gem with sentimental value can easily be added into the mix! Mix and Match: Mixing and matching adds a new aspect to the art of stacking rings. It’s also an element that will keep the style fresh for years to come! Once again, it’s all about your individual fashion sense, and finding a combination that you will enjoy. While diamond, precious, and semi-precious gems add volume and excitement, metal combinations are eclectic and interesting. Simply by adding or subtracting a favorite band, a diamond, topaz, sapphire, and/or rose gold you can add dimension to your look that will turn heads. Delicate rings, chunky bands, disks worn on the knuckles can be as intense or refined as you desire. Remember, ‘everything goes’ as long as you mix and match to suit your mood! Retro Style: This year we have made a remarkable journey back to the […]

From the Sports Track to the Red Carpet: the Rise of the Tracksuit

Prada’s Olympic collection continues high fashion’s athletic obsession The S/S 2013 fashion season’s well underway, with London Fashion Week in full swing, but its Milan’s menswear catwalks that are still the talk of the town. Prada’s S/S men’s collection created a buzz, with its Olympic spirit clear for all to see. Thanks to Prada, just-like-that, the tracksuit is back. The collection features a supremely tailored take on the traditionally slouchy sportswear, with go faster stripe detailing switched to run the length of the inner, rather than outer, leg. Sweatbands, sports vests and polo shirts completed the look, alongside wide-strapped and striped rubber mules, reminiscent of retro Olympic swimmers. Prada’s sporty new look is a continuation of a trend set last year that saw the tracksuit take on a whole new level of couture cred. Dubbed the Track and Field trend by Vogue, dresses took on an athletic flavour, performance sports fabrics were used to create figure-hugging shapes, and the tracksuit was given an elegant overhaul by the world’s leading fashion houses, all in the run up to the Olympics. For the final seal of stylish approval, one of Britain’s most successful fashion exports, Stella McCartney, teamed up with Adidas this year to create the chicest Team GB uniforms yet. A long way from the eyepopping Jimmy Saville shellsuits of old, the sports gear has been toned down and tailored up, with designers using a whole range of fabrics to create a whole new take on this athletic staple. Helping the tracksuit sweat its way from the sports track to the red carpet, trendsetting celebrities have played as big a part as haute couturiers in transforming the tracksuit into a hot fashion item. We’ve seen a lot more of celebrities in their gym threads in recent years, thanks to the round-the-clock […]

Christian Louboutin speaks out about losing that Zara lawsuit

Poor Christian Louboutin! He famously lost his court case against Yves Saint Laurent, and the shoe designer didn’t seem to have much luck with suing Zara either. (The high street store sold some similar-looking shoes a few years ago, which prompted team Louboutin to take legal action…) However, while he may have lost the particular court case about a single pair of red-soled Zara heels, Christian Louboutin wants you (and anyone else who tries to rip off his iconic designs) to know that he still “continues to own valid and enforceable trademark rights in its Red Sole Trademark” and will persevere with suing any copy-cats. The official statement reads: “Much of the discussion either implies or states that through this ruling we have lost our rights to our world famous Red Sole Trademark. We would like to clarify that what has been disputed and canceled is only one French registration of said Red sole Trademark. Christian Louboutin continues to own valid and enforceable trademark rights in its Red Sole Trademark, including in France itself as well as throughout the world. A number of court decisions have recognised the strong association between Christian Louboutin and the Red Sole Trademark, including in France. Christian Louboutin will continue to protect and enforce its rights to its Red Sole Trademark which has been its iconic signature for the past 20 years.
