See Miranda Kerr, Joan Smalls, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Chanel Iman and more top models WITHOUT make-up

More often than not, seeing celebrities without make-up fills us with glee, as it makes us feel slightly better about ourselves. You know we aren’t the only ones. However, seeing some of the hottest models in the world – some of which are even Victoria’s Secret Angels – sans make-up hasn’t quite had the same effect.

Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls for Chanel’s spring/summer 2012 ad campaign

The Chanel spring/summer 2012 ad campaign appears to have been created by the ultimate dream team. With Karl Lagerfeld behind the lens and Carine Roitfeld on hand to take care of the styling, the end result was inevitably going to be fabulous. Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls showcase the movement of the latest Chanel pieces as they pull structured, acrobatic poses in the black and white images, which were set against a stunning backdrop at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes France – the same place the Resort 2012 show took place. While ordinary spring/summer campaigns would naturally choose to feature bright and bold colours and prints, Chanel has gone in the opposite direction, which is what ultimately sets it apart from the rest and makes it such an irreplaceable brand. Muted elegance and timeless beauty is what we expect to find from Chanel – and that’s exactly what we got! Flawless as usual, Karl! [Sassi Sam]

The cute girl’s ultimate style crush, Zooey Deschanel’s blend of quirky and pretty always turns heads. And pictured on the set of her new US television show, New Girl, this week, she looked particularly lovely. We’ve always admired the way Zooey manages to do glam without loosing her quirkiness. She clashed the dress with an eye-catching pair of burgundy heels, complete with jewelled embellishment. Of course, she accessorised her look with a trademark headband and girly fringe for a never-too-over-done finish. Emma Roberts is chic in Chanel

Emma Roberts isn’t exactly a normal 19-year-old. The Hollywood starlet may be following in her Auntie’s footsteps (that’s Julia Roberts, FYI) in the acting world, but she’s quickly paving her own way as a style icon. Spotted in West Hollywood yesterday, the actress wore skinny jeans with a white t-shirt and expertly finished her outfit off with a classic Chanel jacket and a pair of sky high Christian Louboutin courts. Not exactly low maintenance for a browse round the shops, but she’s certainly making sure she’s one to watch. Still a teenager and she’s wearing Chanel? We’re sure we should mutter something about life not being fair. What do you think of Emma’s look? Cast your votes in our poll below. [poll id=”58″]

First look: Blake Lively for Chanel Mademoiselle

After what seems like months of waiting – in fact it’s been just two – the first Blake Lively for Chanel Mademoiselle campaign has been released, and it’s every bit as smokin’ as we expected. Fronting the luxury French label’s new Mademoiselle handbag line – which doesn’t look half bad itself – Blake was shot by Karl Lagerfeld for the first in the series of spring campaigns in which she stares seductively into a panelled mirror in a black feathered dress and a patent red quilted bag. The ads are bowing in print mags and online this week and next, and will continue to roll out through until early June, WWD reports. Meanwhile, Blake was in Paris on Saturday to attend Chanel’s private dinner hosted by Karl in her honour – and it seems they make quite the pairing. “I have such a respect for fashion and such an appreciation for it that if there are people like Karl Lagerfeld out there designing, who am I?” she asks. “I want to bow down to them and be a representative for them if they’ll have me.” See below for more reasons to love Ms. Lively: “When I have bad days, I just eat lots of chocolate ice cream and dance to the ‘Lion King’ soundtrack. It’s really odd, but it’s true.” See, she is one of us. She just happens to be better looking. And have a small fortune in the bank.

Get the look: Alexa Chung in Chanel Couture

For those fashionistas lucky enough to attend even one of the couture shows in Paris this week, good for you – we’re really not jealous at all. Ahem. But at least we get to spy on what they’re wearing, and today’s pick of the pretty crop is the cool and sophisticated Alexa Chung. Standing outside Chanel’s Paris store before its show yesterday afternoon, Ms. Chung chose to wear a quirky tuxedo dress from the label’s AW10 Couture collection – after all, she loves a bit of androgyny at the best of times – and luckily for fashion fans, achieving Alexa’s sweet style is easier than you might imagine. If, like us, you want to recreate this haute couture look at home, take a peek below – we’ve got it covered.

Diane Kruger in Chanel Couture

Almost as exciting as the couture shows are the slickly-styled stars who attend them, and one such faultless front row-er arriving at Chanel’s Paris store yesterday for the luxury label’s spring/summer 2011 couture show was Diane Kruger, dressed, of course, in the haute house. Wearing a nude couture dress from Chanel’s AW10 couture collection encrusted in diamond, crystal and gold jewel embellishments, Ms. Kruger gave a lesson in how to make elegant – not to mention expensive – dressing look easy. The elbow-finish sleeves and classic knee-length cut offered the perfect balance to the dress’s finer details, and teamed with patent black strapped sandals and an artfully messy plaited up ‘do, Diane oozed effortless Parisian chic. And we’re not even going to mention those enviably toned calves…

Kate Bosworth in Chanel

Kate Bosworth has always wowed the fashion critics across the board with her elegant style and ability to even make wearing an old sack look amazing, so low and behold, the 27-year-old actress turned up to the MOCA Los Angeles Gala on Saturday looking suitably stunning in a floor-sweeping Chanel dress. Well, the event was sponsored by the luxury French label… The black satin gown, laced with sheer inserts and a full-length skirt, came straight off the SS11 runway – and the ruffled shoulder detailing, contrasting textures and peek-a-boo panels certainly made Kate the belle of the ball. With her enviable slender figure and American sweetheart good looks, this young Hollywood starlet can pull off almost any outfit – but she wears this Chanel particularly well (yep, we’re a little jealous right now).
