Milan Fashion Week AW13 highlights from Just Cavalli, Fendi, Prada and Max Mara

Day 2 at Milan Fashion Week saw collections from Just Cavalli, Fendi, Prada and Max Mara hit the catwalks, once again proving that the Italians certainly don’t do things by halves. Just Cavalli was just the print-tastic, wild infusion we expect it to be, with Georgia May Jagger (the face of the new Just Cavalli fragrance, in case you forgot) closing the show in a stunning red and black piece. We love that voluminous hair she, and the rest of the models, sported. And speaking of stunning catwalk appearances, we were thrilled to see Adriana Lima walk the runway for the Prada show in a sleek and sexy black number – she just doesn’t stop wowing us! Take a look at some of our stand-out pieces from the Fendi, Prada and Max Mara collections below: Fendi Prada Max Mara

NeoStrata is a range of cosmeceutical skincare products, developed by Dr. Van Scott and Dr. Yu. NeoStrata products are heralded as great innovations in the field of dermatological products. NeoStrata skin care was originally successful after the discovery of how Alpha Hydroxy and Polyhydroxy Acids can be used to rejuvenate ageing skin. Split into five ranges of skincare, NeoStrata seeks to help people who suffer from a range of different skin issues. This article aims to introduce you to this revolutionary skin-care range by informing you of some of the skin ailments that NeoStrata can help you with. Keratosis Pilaris Also known as ‘chicken skin’, this is a fairly common ailment that manifests itself through rough, red bumps on the skin, usually appearing on your back or the outer sides of your arms. It’s so common that it actually affects 40% of the human population. It is usually treated using moisturising and exfoliating creams, that soften and reduce cell cohesion, that allow the skin cells to be shed easily. NeoStrata offers an oil and fragrance-free lotion, named NeoStrata Lotion Plus, which can help with this ailment and general roughness of skin around the face. Sagging skin As you age, your skin begins to sag, and the expression lines on your face become more clearly defined and apparent. No one can avoid this happening, but with NeoStrata, you can definitely treat it. NeoStrata offers the Skin Active Firming Collagen Booster. Application of this to the necessary areas will stimulate your natural collagen and build up your skin where the wrinkles are. The Skin Active Firming Collagen Booster is one of the best anti-aging serums on the market, making use of NeoStrata’s SynerG 6.5 formula that works by targeting new and existing collagen, inhibiting MMP enzymes that break down collagen and stimulating […]

Karlie Kloss poses for Juicy Couture’s latest ‘Couture La La’ perfume

We’d better make the most of seeing Karlie Kloss’s long locks flowing freely in the (probably fake) wind while we can, seeing as the 20-year-old model went for quite a dramatic chop earlier this month! Karlie and her precious brunette mane and gorgeous youthful looks can be seen on the ad campaign for the brand new Juicy Couture ‘Couture La La’ fragrance, which was shot on a beach by photography dream team Inez and Vinoodh. We love the juxtaposition of the soft, baby pink top and stunning loud, statement-making choker. We haven’t had a chance to have a whiff of the perfume yet, but it’s being described as a “fruity luscious bouquet with white floral notes and sensual musks,” which has got our smell buds tingling. If all the other Juicy scents are anything to go by, we predict we’re going to have several bottles of this on our dressing tables too. We wouldn’t mind finding this under the tree next month, hint hint, Santa!

Nicolas Ghesquière to leave Balenciaga at the end of the month

After 15 years of being at the helm of Balenciaga, Nicolas Ghesquière will reportedly be stepping down as creative director from November 30th. According to WWD, Nicolas and the brand had a “joint decision to end their working relationship” so even though we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, it seems like an amicable split. No hard feelings! “Cristóbal Balenciaga was a master, a genius whose avant-garde vision dictated fashion’s greatest trends and inspired generations of designers,” said François-Henri Pinault, a spokesperson for the company that owns Balenciaga. “With an incomparable creative talent, Nicolas has brought to Balenciaga an artistic contribution essential to the unique influence of the house.” There’s no doubt that Nicolas will be missed; now let the guessing games start. Who do you think will replace him and where do you think he will go? And will Kristen Stewart – who is the face of its Florabotanica fragrance – continue to work with the brand? All will be revealed in good time. [Vogue] [Image]

Dior taps Robert Pattinson for £7.5 million

Ladies and gents, boys and girls and most importantly Twihards, we have some very exciting news for you this morning. The gorgeous Robert Pattinson in all his chiseled brooding glory has just been announced as the brand new face of Dior… you just try and wipe the smiles off our faces! Don’t worry, he isn’t after Brad Pitt’s Chanel women’s fragrance crown though, as R-Pattz will be following in the footsteps of Jude Law and will front the ad campaign for the very sexy-smelling Dior Homme fragrance. The French fashion House has tapped the Twilight vamp for not just one, but a series of ad campaigns, for which he is reportedly getting a cool £7.5 million for. Not too shabby, R-Pattz! Between his Dior deal and on/off girlfriend Kristen Stewart’s Balenciaga stint, do we think they might join forces and release their own scent one day? Only time will tell! Watch this space for more info RE Robert’s campaign when we get it! [Telegraph]

Georgia May Jagger’s Just Cavalli perfume ad revealed

Less than a month after it was revealed that Roberto Cavalli had snapped up Georgia May Jagger for his latest Just Cavalli fragrance, the ad campaign featuring the gorgeous model has emerged! A seemingly topless Georgia May – who also appears to be sporting darker locks – was photographed by Mario Sorrenti in Manhattan, while the accompanying commercial was reportedly directed by Jonas Akerlund. We adore the campaign, and think Georgia is the perfect fit for the brand. And it looks like Roberto Cavalli himself was chuffed with the casting too… “She represented the kind of women that I would like to have for my dresses,” he said. “If I closed my eyes while creating Just Cavalli, I would see her – sexy, but not vulgar. Delicate, with a sweet smile.” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves. And we love how the designer’s signature animal print is evident in the ad campaign too! Stay tuned for the video commercial which we’ll post as soon as we get it! [Image]

Tried and Tested: Burberry Beauty AW12

Is there anything British super-brand Burberry can’t do? We think not. Stellar front row line-ups; trailblazers of new social media and ‘real time’ strategies and putting out desirable collections season after season – Burberry really is the complete brand package. So, when I was given the opportunity to test out a few makeup products from Burberry’s A/W’12 range, admittedly I did an excited back flip in my head. A long time fan of their classic trenches, iconic check print and the British definition of polished insouciance the brand promises, I frankly couldn’t wait to sample some Burberry on my face! Trying out the Sheer Eye Shadow, Lip Velvet and Lip Cover, here’s what I thought: Sheer Eye shadow in Dark Sable No.23 Slick embossed check design packaging aside, the Sheer Eye shadow in Dark Sable No.23 claims to act an ‘eye enhancer’, which I realised soon after applying the colour to my eyelids. My eye colour lingers somewhere between hazel and light(ish) brown, and a slick of this shade made my eye colour pop. The texture was silky, almost creamy upon application, and as I applied it without eye shadow primer, I was surprised that it lasted up to 5 hours before it began to crease and fade (I actually timed the application!). The colour is surprisingly light (hence the ‘sheer’) and didn’t give me the bruised eye look most dark eye shadows do. I would definitely use this product for a light slick of daytime colour. Lip Velvet in Redwood No.304 I found Redwood No.304 to be the perfect autumn lipstick shade, thanks to its warm, woody tone, and found that, although it has a matte finish, it didn’t dry out my lips. The lipstick formula contains triglycerides and wild rose for hydration, and considering I wore this lipstick to […]

Brad Pitt’s full Chanel No.5 ad campaign is here! (Pics and video included!)

The wait is finally over, as Brad Pitt’s full ad campaign for Chanel No.5 has finally been unveiled. It couldn’t have come at a better day if we’re being honest; we needed something good to get us through this dreary Monday morning and this will definitely do quite nicely. Thank you, Brad! “What’s important to remember about Chanel No.5 is how revolutionary this fragrance is,” Brad said in a statement. “When it was introduced, it broke all the rules. Chanel No.5 has always been the most iconic women’s fragrance. “The beauty of its success for all these years is both elegantly simple and complex at the same time. That’s what I see being the appeal of this campaign ; it goes beyond the abstract of emotion or beauty to evoke what is timeless, a woman’s spirit.” What do you guys make of the campaign image? The video is just as haunting, brooding and seductive as we anticipated, as Brad and his sexy dulcet tones treat us to a 30-second monologue about journey, dreams, fate, fortune… and how Chanel No.5 is “inevitable.” We say no more; enjoy! Sneak peek at Brad Pitt’s Chanel No.5 ad campaign

Try not to salivate as you read this (wish the same could be said for us – the non-drooling ship sailed a long time ago) but after months of rumours and speculation, we finally have a very cheeky teaser of Brad Pitt’s ad campaign for Chanel No.5. Chanel likes to tease us (remember all those Boy Chanel Alice Dellal sneak peeks?) and this is no different as the fashion House has released not one but three 8-second video clips of Brad Pitt. “It is the first time we’ve had a man speaking about a women’s fragrance. We think very much that the perfume is a seduction between a man, a woman and the perfume,” said Andrea d’Avack, a spokesperson for Chanel. “ No.5 is our leading fragrance, and we are willing to make the investment to keep it on that level.” And while we don’t get to see his godliness in action in the sneaky vids – we only have a pic to tide us over – we do have his sexy dulcet tones empowering the video. In the first vid, Brad utters the phrase “what’s the mystery” in a rather aptly mysterious, husky voice, while he also says “are you going somewhere? Where” and “do you feel lucky? Why?” in the other two. It’s all very 007 if you ask us! Brad’s Chanel No.5 ad campaign premieres on October 15th so make sure you check back here to see it in all its glory!

Georgia May Jagger is the new face of Just Cavalli

When does Georgia May Jagger find time to be a normal 20-year-old girl? Not only is the gorgeous Brit the face of Rimmel London, Madonna and daughter Lola’s Material Girl clothing line and Hudson Jeans, but now she’s going to have a Just Cavalli ad campaign under her belt too. Not too shabby by anyone’s standards! Georgia will front the ad campaign of the new Just Cavalli perfume, and we think it’s safe to say she’s pretty chuffed about being selected. “It is the first fragrance that I have ever done, so it is a huge honour,” she said. “Roberto Cavalli is a great designer. The Just Cavalli brand is very sexy, young and cool. Each collection is very contemporary and colourful; it is clearly for the younger generation who wants to have a trendy look.” We couldn’t agree more! The perfume and campaign will be released next year – we’ll give you the specifics nearer the time.

6 celebrity style icons worthy of their own clothing label

There is a long list of contemporary stylish ladies who are equally as eye catching as the Hepburn’s, Kelly’s and Monroe’s of yesteryear. These ladies have an ‘until death do us part’ kinda relationship with fashion, and their extensive wardrobes, impeccable taste and dedication to looking stylish knows no bounds. So to celebrate the women at the fore of fashionable happenings and their enviable sense of style, we’ve decided to chart our top 6 style icons… Rihanna We think RiRi’s sartorial reputation precedes her. Yes, she has a penchant for expletive-laden footwear (cue: X Factor performance in those trainers), wearing clothes emblazoned with illegal substances and often pushes the limits of fashion to an unimaginable edge, but she never fails to carry off her eccentric wardrobe. High Street, high fashion our outrageously high heels worn with leather shorts; she really is the only girl in the world who can execute it with perfection! Fave 2012 fashion moment: In Givenchy Haute Couture at the 2012 BRIT Awards, Olivia Palermo Gracing front row at headline-hitting fashion shows; girlfriend to a HOT model and the owner of a wardrobe over spilling with sartorial perfection, Olivia Palermo is a no-brainer on our Style Icons list! The flawless beauty, who fronts the cover of the Instyle UK October issue, revealed she likes ‘walking out of the house feeling fully pulled together.’ Something she sure has down to a t! The queen of nonchalant off-duty dressing (she even makes dog walking look stylish!), Olivia is often spotted in impeccable style staples, including a well cut jacket, a statement (not ‘It’) bag and wow-inducing heels. Olivia’s timeless style is easy to translate, and appeals to a wider population – a large chunk of which definitely likes to look fashionably ‘pulled together’. Blake Lively wore Marchesa down the aisle!

The only thing more shocking than discovering Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married in secret at the weekend was learning who designed her wedding dress. The blushing bride wore neither Chanel nor Gucci and actually went for a custom Marchesa gown instead – designed exclusively for her by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. Who would have thunk it? According to British Vogue, the new Mrs Reynolds wore a one-of a-kind Couture bridal ballgown with a hand-draped silk tulle bodice covered in crystals and rose gold embroidery. We need a pic… like, now! We’re not betting people, but would have wagered serious money that Blake would have glided down the aisle in a bespoke Chanel or Gucci number. Blake and Kaiser Karl have been friends for what seems like forever, and she is of course the face of Gucci’s new fragrance so they seemed like the obvious choices. Still, it wasn’t all shock-factor, as Blake reportedly wore a pair of her BFF Christian Louboutin’s shoes under her gown. And yes, he was invited to the wedding too! As for Ryan and the rest of the boys, reports are suggesting that they all wore Burberry suits custom made for them by Christopher Bailey! Are you still shocked Blake is now a married woman? Nicole Richie is edgy yet feminine in Alberta Ferretti

Does Nicole Richie ever not dazzle on the red carpet? (Rhetorical question by the way, we think we all know the answer to that!) The socialite turned designer rocked up to Macy’s in California yesterday to promote her debut fragrance, and did so wearing a stunning intricate lace Alberta Ferretti dress. Nicole made the look her own by adding some brown and gold Brian Atwood shoes which brought some edge to the otherwise overly feminine proceedings. We doubt everyone will love her footwear choice with such an elegant dress, but we think the shoes are perfect for showcasing her style credentials and proving that she is a fashion leader as opposed to a follower. And speaking of Nicole Richie and Macy’s… check out the video below, where Nicole chats about her up and coming clothing collection for Macy’s Impulse. She talks about what inspires her during the designing process, and also mentions who her style icon is. Just an FYI – we don’t think you’ll ever guess! Enjoy!

Alesha Dixon wears a ‘Sweet Smile’ for Impulse

Last week, we headed to the swanky Soho House to see Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon unveil ‘Sweet Smile’, an exclusive new fragrance from Impulse. “I’ve been a fan of Impulse for years, so I was flattered when they approached me to be the face of the latest fragrance, Sweet Smile,” Alesha said. “I really enjoyed taking part in the shoot and can’t wait to stock up on the scent once it hits the shelves. It’s perfect for a quick fragrance boost when I’m on-the-go during the day and is guaranteed to always put a smile on my face.” We can definitely see where she’s coming from – the fragrance is one of those easy to wear scents that every girl needs on her dressing table and in her handbag. Great to have with you on the tube when you stand next to someone with less than satisfactory hygiene… we’ve all been there! Shudder! The fragrance has fruity top notes of pear, mandarin and plum, middle notes of jasmine, muguet and osmanthus, and base notes of sandalwood, cedarwood and amber. Impulse Sweet Smile is available exclusively in Superdrug stores priced at £1.99 – bargain! And doesn’t Alesha look heavenly in the ad campaign?

Victoria’s Secret finally opens its doors on London’s New Bond Street

We couldn’t be more excited to reveal that the Victoria’s Secret flagship store at 111 New Bond Street is finally open! Let’s pop an imaginary celebratory bottle of bubbly to celebrate! We were lucky enough to be invited along to a sneaky preview of the store yesterday afternoon, and can honestly say that it’s definitely been worth the long wait! A few words of warning though. Firstly, if you’re anything like us, you will be overwhelmed with choice so make sure you allocate enough time to fully browse ever single floor. And secondly, be prepared for your bank account to hate you. A few of our highlights of the store include the stunning mirrored staircase, the fact that the VS Angels are on the walls to remind you how gorgeous the pieces can potentially look, and the actual outfits the Angels wore on the runway of the 2011 fashion show. We love the fragrance and beauty section too – make sure you check out the ‘London’ perfume which was created especially for the new flagship store, as it smells delicious! The store’s staff are nothing but helpful, and professionals are on-hand to help you find your perfect bra in the perfect size. The dressing rooms are also to die for; the luxury ones in particular – equipped with their own en suite bathroom, no less – are probably bigger than most people’s first flats. We hope you enjoyed the few cheeky pictures we took for you, but as cameras weren’t allowed in the store, our images don’t do it justice… so you’re just going to have to head down there and check it out for yourselves!

Brian Atwood’s new ad campaign is too raunchy for its own store!

Uh oh – looks like another ad campaign is deemed too raunchy, although this time it has nothing to do with the ASA, which makes a nice change. Brian Atwood’s autumn/winter 2012 ad campaign featuring Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel has had to be removed from the billboard above its own Madison Avenue store in New York, as the building owners have deemed it “too sexual”. And the brand’s own store isn’t the only place one of its ads is banned from either. The accompanying video (see below), which features Candice in a sexy pair of boots watching a wall of pornography, was due to play in the back of taxis in the Big Apple, but has been banned by the Taxi and Limousine Commission. A PG teaser of the ad will be played instead, with a link to Brian Atwood’s website appearing at the end should people want to see more. Hm… we wonder how many places the advert for Lady Gaga’s ‘Fame’ fragrance will be banned from… [Telegraph]

We can’t wait to smell it – the scent has been flying off the shelves, so Amy must have done something right! Will you be trying Amy’s debut perfume?

Victoria’s Secret launches new London scent, upsets New Bond Street neighbours

The Victoria’s Secret store in New Bond Street hasn’t even opened yet, but its “provocative” window displays have already ruffled a few feathers. According to The Evening Standard, department store Fenwick’s (which is directly opposite the as yet unopened Victoria’s Secret store) is “concerned about the potentially provocative window displays and the kind of shoppers it will attract”. Yikes! In other, more positive, news though… to coincide with the launch of the first two Victoria’s Secret stores in the UK (the first was at Westfield Stratford, right next to the Olympic Park) the lingerie brand has released a special limited edition fragrance rather aptly entitled ‘London’. It’s reportedly inspired by the romance of the city,  and has notes of Violet Leaves, Mandarin and Neroli Flower. You can pick yours up at one of the two London stores as well as online! And doesn’t Lindsay Ellingson do a fine job of promoting the perfume? [Telegraph]

Blake Lively’s Gucci Première commercial finally lands – and it’s stunning!

It’s a busy week for Gucci! Just yesterday we showed you the second of four Charlotte Casiraghi Forever Now ad campaign images, and today we have something just as, if not more, special. It’s finally time to see Blake Lively in action, as the video commercial for her Gucci Première fragrance has finally surfaced. And yes, all of those clichés like saving the best til last and good things coming to those who wait all apply in this situation. The short film was shot by Nicholas Winding Refn, and features the blonde actress looking like a true golden Hollywood goddess in not one, but two jaw-droppingly gorgeous Gucci gowns. We know Blake is used to dressing in lavish gowns on Gossip Girl, but we don’t think we’ve ever seen her looking so seductive and sumptuous. Gwyneth Paltrow looks sultry, sophisticated and sexy for Hugo Boss Nuit

There are no adjectives powerful enough to describe how much we love Gwyneth Paltrow’s ad campaign for the brand new Hugo Boss Nuit Pour Femme perfume. Naturally Gwyneth is rocking a little black dress from the BOSS Black womenswear collection, and personifies absolutely everything the fragrance is about! “For me, BOSS Nuit Pour Femme is a very sensual, feminine perfume,” she said. ” It’s the perfect night time perfume because it’s very alluring but very elegant at the same time.” And who better to front an alluring and elegant fragrance than Gwyn, eh? Absolute spot on casting! And make sure you check out the “perfectly put together” video below too, where you’ll find Gwyneth chatting about her wardrobe must-haves, which include jeans, tees and of course, a little black dress. Mark Ronson and Anja Rubik get cosy for Fendi

Karl Lagerfeld was quoted saying that Joan Smalls would be the one and only face of the new Fendi campaigns for the autumn/winter 2012 season, and don’t worry, he hasn’t gone back on his word! Top model Anja Rubik and hot British DJ Mark Ronson are actually snuggling up for the ad campaign of the first ever Fendi men’s fragrance, Fan di Fendi, which reports are claiming will be released this September. Although, we feel it should probably come with a small disclaimer stating that you probably won’t be wooing a blonde supermodel like Anja Rubik every time you spray the scent. Especially since most men don’t look like Mark Ronson either. (If they do then we have clearly been looking in all the wrong places!) Will you be buying this scent for your man, or do you fear an array of leggy blondes will be all over him in the back of a car?

First Look: Lady Gaga’s Fame perfume ad campaign

Just like Lady Gaga debuted the bottle of her debut fragrance ‘Fame’ on Twitter, Mother Monster also took to the social networking site to treat fans (or as she calls them, her Little Monsters) to the first ad campaign. “I won’t lie I’m a bit nervous. its been a while since i’ve shared some work with you. But i’m so proud of Steven+I, we really did not sleep,” she Tweeted along with the pic. In true Lady Gaga style, the Steven Meisel lensed campaign is provocative, racy and will probably ruffle a few feathers. We have a feeling the ASA might have something to say about it (we think her exposed nipples and the fact that she has teeny tiny men crawling all over her may offend some people), so we suggest you make the most of the original ad while you can. Do you like the campaign? Is it everything you thought it would be or did you expect something different?

Chanel opens pop-up perfume shop in Covent Garden!

The Olympics just got a lot more fashionable! Yes we’ve been interested in the Stella McCartney-designed uniforms and all the Olympics-themed collections that have been thrust in our faces, but it’s a whole new ball game now that Chanel has been thrown into the equation. The French fashion House will be opening its first ever dedicated perfume store in Covent Garden later his month to coincide with the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Chanel will open a two-floor pop up shop in the Market Building in the Piazza, with all the classic fragrances and beauty collections available to snap up. “Introducing premium beauty brands into the Market Building has always been a part of our retail strategy for Covent Garden,” said Beverley Churchill, the Covent Garden London brand director.  “To open this fragrance and beauty concept store is a great coup for the estate and further proof point of how the area has changed.” We don’t yet know the exact opening date or how long the pop up store will stay for (although it’s currently set to open for six months) but we’ll keep you posted. Rosie Huntington Whiteley returns for Burberry Body

Burberry has once again tapped Rosie Huntington Whiteley to be the face (and body, obviously) of its Burberry Body fragrance… although we can’t say we’re surprised. Rosie is hot property right now and we don’t actually think the brand would be able to find someone better to replace her with. If it ain’t broke and all that… The 25-year-old model and actress was photographed by Burberry’s main man Mario Testino, and the image you see above is actually for the new Eau de Toilette version of the fragrance which launched in the UK just yesterday. The scent is lighter, has refined ingredients and is “a delicate reflection of the spirit and attitude of the Burberry girl.” We can’t wait to smell it for ourselves! Make sure you watch the video below too – the classic Burberry trench makes another welcome return!

Kristen Stewart’s Balenciaga perfume ad is finally here!

Another fragrance story for you guys this morning, as we take a look at Kristen Stewart’s Balenciaga ‘Florabotanica’ ad campaign which has finally been unveiled. We have to admit that the Steven Meisel lensed campaign wasn’t quite what we expected, as we thought we thought the brand would play on Kristen’s association with all things vampy, but as you can see, it’s far from it! Kristen also surprised us with a few things she revealed to WWD too… The first, was that she didn’t actually know what the perfume smelt like before she agreed to do it, and more alarmingly the second was that she hadn’t actually worn perfume before. Like… ever! “I’m very lucky that I like the fragrance, because I would have done anything with Nicolas Ghesquière. And I’m a terrible liar,” she said. “There is something natural about it. It’s very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it — considering that I’ve never worn a scent — it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ‘Whoa, check me out.’” Definitely a good sign if you ask us! The perfume itself is slated for release in September.  Do you guys like the campaign?

First Look: Blake Lively for Gucci Première

We can’t keep away from Blake Lively these days. We’ve been crushing on her Savages promo tour wardrobe for the past week now, but it’s her brand new duties at Gucci that we are focusing our attention on this morning. Admit it, Blake Lively certainly makes a Monday morning more tolerable, right? What do you guys think of the first image of Blake promoting Gucci’s brand new Première fragrance? We were in awe when we first laid eyes on it – it’s everything we expected it to be, and more. The ad was shot by the legendary Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and as per the sneaky pic Gucci treated us to, Blake is rocking the old Hollywood timeless glamour look better than anyone! Don’t forget, a short film by Nicolas Winding Refn will be released during the Venice Film Festival in September; do you think you can wait until then? [Image]

Blake Lively stuns in Zuhair Murad Couture at the Savages premiere

Well what do you know, Blake Lively looked absolutely breathtaking at the LA premiere of Savages last night – shock horror! As if anyone doubted that she would look anything but a vision of utter perfection, though. The stunning actress – and new face of Gucci – rocked the red carpet in a figure-hugging black and nude Zuhair Murad gown from the Spring Couture 2012 collection which pretty much fit her like a glove. We always said that Jennifer Lopez and Zuhair Murad were a match made in heaven (he is creating her tour wardrobe after all) but we think he and Blake also make a pretty indestructible team too. The dress is indisputably stunning, but it doesn’t act alone in making Blake’s overall look so wow-worthy. Her old Hollywood glamour girl side-swept waves, subtle jewellery, pillar box red lips and crescent nails also contribute to the sartorial magic. Flawless!

Nicole Richie’s debut perfume launches this September!

It’s finally time to catch a highly-ancitipated glimpse at the debut perfume Nicole Richie has been working on for the past year! Nicole joined forces with TPR Holdings LLC to create her debut fragrance, which was apparently inspired by her mother and the way in which she layered different scents on top of each other. “I have a very traditional Southern mom – you never left the house without lotion,” she told WWD. “Over her lotion went oil and perfume – she was very put together from head to toe. It wasn’t just a one-dimensional smell – there were many different layers.” Nicole’s perfume is an infusion of blackberry, Seville orange, lily of the valley, sandalwood and Moroccan rose which all sounds rather scrumptious to us! It’s not just about the smell though – you know the all-important bottle is just as crucial. Nicole teamed up with Dale Brandon Kan to create the intricate design… “We’re in an interesting time right now where women aren’t just one thing — there are many different parts to a woman,” she said. “So I wanted to create a very intricate bottle that was still elegant, but not so in-your-face girly at the same time.” You can get your hands on Nicole’s fragrance from September.
