  • AW07: Shades of Grey
From charcoal to stone, grey is the perfect shade for this autumn/winter. Its brilliant for layering as it reduces the intensity of other colours, so if you still want to wear your summer colours like yellow or pinks, team them with grey and make them work in the colder months to come. Marc Jacobs and YSL are just a few of the designers who have favoured this neutral...

  • AW07: Knitted
Knits are integral to this seasons dress and with them they bring a new approach to oversized and baggy. From sweater dresses to cardigan coats, designers like Stella McCartney and Giles Deacon are breaking down the barriers in terms of what actually passes as a ‘whole’ piece of clothing; wearing a cardigan is now no longer an extra layer as much as an outfit in...

  • XXY Style
The male/female style barrier has blurred once again, and merging his style with hers has returned making the runway a confusing place to look this season. For Autumn 07 the androgynous trends are back, and have proved especially favourable with designers such as Dolce & Gabbana and Dina Bar-el. The look is the epitome of sophistication, mannish styles cut to a...

  • Have you got that fashion feeling?
Texture is what it’s all about for autumn and with the new season will come an array of new ‘it’ materials and fabrics. Leather is definitely going to be central for this season, with designers like Prada and Moschino, creating beautiful, feminine designs. Just avoid the leather bomber, and opt for a biker jacket or a fitted coat, or if you’re brave, a tight dress....

  • Perfectly Patent
I’ve been surfing around my fave online stores looking for a perfect pair of patent shoes to satisfy my current obsession and have whittled the options down to these two gorgeous beauties. I can only choose one as I’m trying to save for a holiday and just cant justify splurging on both. The problem is I adore both of them! I love the velvet laces on the Rupert Sanderson...

  • The Power of Purple
This autumn/winter we’re celebrating a new ‘it’ colour; it’s bold, strong and very Purple. The neutral colours and bold patterns that we’ve grown used to during recent seasons will soon be a distant memory, with such designers as Emilio Pucci and Valentino going crazy for all purple related shades; vivacious violet, luscious lavender and mystic mauve are...

  • AW07:Tight Fit
The smock shape has dominated trends for a couple of seasons now, with loose cuts and a ‘fluid’ silhouette being summer favourites. However fashion week provided a sneak peek into the Autumn/Winter 2007/08 trends and tight fit appears to have established itself as the shape for autumn. This creation by Alessandro Dell’Acqua is perhaps a bit too daring for most...

  • AW07: Discover your masculine side
Play around with your masculine side with this seasons statement pieces. Go for wide legged trousers, cropped blazers and waistcoats. Pair narrow trousers with a cardigan and add a baker boy cap for that all important finishing touch. [Images:Style.com]

  • AW07: Bows
Amidst some of the more masculine looks on the runway this season, cute and flirty bows made a welcome appearance. Marc Jacobs added a romantic twist to the fitted skirt suit and drew attention to the waist with a cute lopsided bow while Doo-Ri hiked it up a couple inches, bringing focus to the chest.
