It appears that Eva Mendes’ recent stint in rehab did nothing to hinder her getting work. Already the face of Calvin Klein’s upcoming fragrance, Mendes has been confirmed as the face of the brands underwear line and its latest collection of foundations for women named Seductive Comfort.
Note to Calvin Klein: If by any chance you’re searching for another location to erect your sky high ad campaign of Djimon Hounsou, may we suggest London!
Well we were going to ask who did it better for Miu Miu – Lindsay Lohan or Kirsten Dunst. But we feared there would be no competition and Kirsten would win hands down. So instead we’re asking how much do you love the sunglasses featured in the image above?
We’re not sure how much of our soul we’d sell for these sunglasses but we do have to confess our undying love for them and the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 08 collection as a whole (especially the accessories). What do you reckon?
We did a double take when we saw actor, Patrick Dempsey in Versace’s spring ad campaign……very nice! Shot by Mario Testino, the ads will be out next month. Wow, he definitely gets our mark of approval…
Naomi ‘s diva ways are the focus of the new Dunkin Donut advert. The supermodel attempts a spot of gardening and in frustration throws her heel through a window. She looks great, but how long can she continue capitalizing on her inability to deal with anger, before it gets boring?
We’ve been bombarded with claims of fashion cleaning up its act. Underage models are being banned from the catwalk and the backlash against size zero models continues. But what’s this? Is Sisley sending out mixed messages with its new ad campaign? With two models depicted as “fashioin junkies”, never has drug use been so explicitly glamorized in an advert.
But love it or hate it, I think its time fashion did a stint in rehab and sorted out whether it wants to clean up or stay dirty!
In a short space of time Scarlett Johansson has become synonymous with glamour and after the success of the romantically composed spring/summer 07 ad campaigns for Louis Vuitton, the powers that be didn’t waste any time in re-hiring her to pout those red stained lips whilst looking effortlessly sexy, once again. Arnault promised us a more recognizable Johansson this time round and true to his word they held back just a tad with the airbrushing. The ads are rich in colour and the softer girlie Johansson of spring, transcends into a voluptuous woman for the autumn.
How strange…..Rimmel were willing to stand by Kate Moss through her drug scandal but god forbid they stick with her through the aging process. The rumour mill is spinning again with reports that Kate may be dropped by Rimmel in favour of a younger model. According to the News Of the World, the cosmetics brand have been holding secret castings in the hope of finding a younger model to replace Kate and give the brand the fresh approach needed for the younger market.
So what does that tell us? As a model, get caught taking drugs and you still have a job. Get old and you can kiss your career goodbye. Although Kate is thought to be considering getting botox (please don’t!) its unlikely she’ll be too bothered, aside from her numerous modelling contracts and her line for Topshop on its way, Kate is apparently negotiating a make up range and possibly a perfume of of her own.
If you’re a regular to the site, then you’ll know that we do like ourselves a bit of Mika and we’re not the only ones. According to the metro fashion designer Paul Smith is fond of him too and has signed the curly haired singer to front his spring/summer ad campaign scheduled to launch on the 1st of February, for a six figure sum. Can’t wait!
Another picture from the miu miu ad campaign with Lindsay Lohan and my opinion still hasn’t changed. I do prefer this picture to the first though simply because of the striking bag. I love the detail on the straps and the patchwork mix of metallic gold and silver and best of all it looks big enough to carry all my junk without falling apart.
