Fashion fans, the wait is over – the latest edition of the iconic Pirelli calendar, this year shot by the inimitable monsieur Lagerfeld, is ready for its grand unveiling.

Karl announced he’d be stepping up to shoot the 2011 Pirelli keepsake back in March, where he promised he’d enlist all the top girls and shoot in his studio as opposed to an “obvious” beach setting – and thanks to Elle UK, we can now reveal the first pictures.

True to his promise, the likes of Erin Wasson, Daria Werbowy and Elisa Sednaoui star alongside the designer’s right hand man, Baptiste Giabiconi, in the mythology-themed calendar, where they each take on various Gods and Goddesses to form the black and white images.

Even a certain Julianne Moore has been photographed, though she was allowed to keep her clothes on for the occasion.

Attention ladies, Yves Saint Laurent‘s latest manifesto for autumn/winter 2010 is just days away from launching – but it’ll be making its exclusive debut on the streets of New York four days before anywhere else.

Hitting NYC on Tuesday, September 14th, swiftly followed by a worldwide release on Saturday, 18th September, on the streets of London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong and, for the first time, Beirut, the seventh edition of the fashion house’s iconic publication is set to be as sought-after as the six before it.

The new manifesto stars Daria Werbowy wearing key pieces from YSL’s new collection for AW10, and was shot, once again, by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin under the discerning direction of Stefano Pilati.

And as always, there’s a highly covetable collectors bag for the first 2,000 passers-by in each city – this time, a sleek white canvas tote with black piping, in-keeping with Pilati’s retro black and white pieces for the new season.

But this season’s manifesto also holds something new – the chance for you to be a part of the website, where the complete manifesto is available for download after September 18th, by the way. Those who manage to grab a copy in each city are invited to take pictures of themselves with their new mag and limited edition bag and submit them to www.yslmanifesto.com – you may find yourself in the manifesto’s gallery and on its Facebook page.

We’re on a campaign roll today! Next on this morning’s journey is Yves Saint Laurent, who’s enlisted Polish-born model Daria Werbowy as its face for AW10, not just because she’s having something of a ‘moment’, but because she’s got what every designer wants – lasting appeal.

And so does Kate Moss and Raquel Zimmermann, if you ask Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the photography duo who shot Daria for the new YSL campaign.

“They all have huge range. Models like Kate and Daria are mature, they’re grown up, they’re women who have had a life and experience,” the pair told Vogue UK. “For about five or six years now we haven’t shot anyone under 18 for that reason, but also for the fact that, we feel that the modelling business should not promote girls working under this age. They’re not out of school – they’re bodies haven’t developed yet and they don’t have a sense of self. Sometimes they haven’t had sex yet. It’s hard to project all these things on someone who hasn’t had that experience.”

Wise words, we reckon, and we can think of a couple of people who’ll be pleased to hear them.

But back to the campaign. It was shot inside Hôtel de Clermont-Tonnerre in Paris (Parisian headquarters of Artemis, the luxury office space of Francais Pinault and PPR, YSL’s parent company, coincidently) under the creative direction of Stefano Pilati and shows Daria looking every bit the smouldering sophisticat in the 60s throw-back black and white images.

The ads break in August and, trust us, you’re in for a treat.

For anyone still in any doubt, Fashion’s Night Out is going to be this year’s biggest event on the style calendar – and now, along with a little help from Vogue, it’s set to stage New York City’s biggest public fashion show in history.

Three days before the global shopping event on September 10, the show – hosted by Vogue and SPEC entertainment – is playing host to a supermodel extravaganza, boasting 200 of the industry’s top strutters.

Let’s do names, shall we? Chanel Iman, Karlie Kloss, Daria Werbowy – you get the idea. They’ll be hitting the catwalk to give almost 1,500 guests a look at the key trends for AW10, and better still, they’ll be wearing pieces that are in store at the time. Donna Karan will be pleased.

“We felt it is important for people to see what wonderful fashion will be in stores at that moment,” says Anna Wintour. “This show will focus on the key trends we’ve identified for fall so that shoppers will have plenty of inspiration to join the fun during Fashion’s Night Out.”

Tickets for the fashion show are set to go on sale this summer from the Lincoln Center box office, where a portion of the proceeds will go towards the New York City AIDS Fund.

Shopping and charity? Even better.

So you want to shoot a swimsuit issue of your magazine and you think ‘who should we get for the cover?’ Then it dawns on you, why have one supermodel when you can have six. This is probably the thought processes that went through the minds of editors of V Magazine when developing their latest issue.

There are six variations on the front cover all shot by the legend that is Mario Testino, and it is the first swimwear issue for the iconic magazine. The coverstars are Kate Moss posed in that Maison Margiela wig coat, Eva Herzigova having a Marilyn moment, Naomi Campbell is a homage to bunny girls everywhere, whilst Claudia Schiffer is wearing those YSL shoes. Gisele Bundchen and Daria Werbowy look super super sexy.

It’s a great shoot, the pop colours look fab as do all the gorgeous girlies. I love the blend of sex and femininity. Inside readers will be treated to interviews with the cover stars as well as more photo shoots.

But here’s a tricky question… who looks the best? And which one would make you run out and buy swimwear?

The issue will hit shelves on 6th May, visit V Magazine for a sneak preview.

The excitement is building, oh yes it will soon be time. Matthew Williamson’s collection for H&M is on it’s way. And the first titbits of information have just been released.

Matthew Williamson will be modelling the menswear line that he has created for the high street brand, whilst the designers’ favourite model Daria Werbowy (previously modelled for Roberto Cavalli, Isabel Marant and Australian Vogue) is the face of the womenswear collection.

The campaign will see the dynamic duo appearing in television and print advertisements wearing Williamson’s highly anticipated clothes. The images have been shot by Solve Sundsbo in gorgeous Mexico, so I think we can expect Williamson’s beautiful trademark exotic prints to be making an appearance.

The range launches this April, it’s sure to be a sell out, so I’m off to hunt for my tent and sleeping bag. It’s never too early to start queuing for a piece of Williamson!
