Drug addict Doherty has given his record label Rough trade, no choice but to give him the boot, after injecting himself with heroin after a gig in Berlin, then squirting a syringe full of his blood over two MTV cameramen.
On off girlfriend Kate Moss summoned the musician to her home to tell him exactly what she thought of his irresponsible behaviour but couldn’t find the words and gave him a beating instead.
Doherty said of his encounter with Moss….
“She was angry about the blood-spraying thing. She beat the crap out of me. She laid into me punching and kicking.
“I’m alright, but she hurt my finger. I couldn’t do anything back, because she’s a girl.”
