Donatella Versace took her dog along for the ride, as she made her way to appear on the Today show yesterday. We are lost for words.
The designer is in N.Y to promote the Versace Menswear launch at Barneys which also took place yesterday.
“It’s very difficult to explain en anglais, but for me, chic is really a question of attitude. And because of that, chic is an expression of the individual. She might be sensuous or mysterious, boyish or feminine. It’s the way you walk, the way you speak and the way you play with your body and what it can do.” - Designer, Sonia Rykiel on being chic

Call me crazy, but I periodically like to go onto the net-a-porter/Barneys/shopbop etc designer lists and click on unfamiliar names. Designer Henry Holland took time out from designing clothes to stamp his signature on a special Easter Egg for the chocolate heaven that is, Thorntons.
Holland decorated the 1kg milk chocolate egg with his motto “Passion Factionis” (passion for fashion) along with the Holland family coat-of-arms making it the most sought after “Fashion Easter Egg”.
The customised egg will be auctioned on eBay next week with all proceeds going to the children’s charity Barnardo’s.

Then, Mr. Marc Jacobs had to come along and re-interpret the high heel as … well, I’m not exactly sure what he was thinking, but it clearly wasn’t about comfort.

It’s easy to criticize the fashion industry. Promoting eating disorders aside, the clothes are well beyond the price range of most people and it can be fairly pretentious (read an article in Vogue objectively). A lot of people don’t get just what is so appealing about watching a bunch of women with the curvature of a coat rack strut down a runway in impossibly high heels. To anyone with thoughts along those lines, I offer you this photograph from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2008 collection.
