Well, we didn’t expect this! Earlier today, it was announced that blonde sisters Savannah and Sienna Miller would be stepping down as co-creative directors of Twenty8Twelve, after six years of working with the label. 

“We’ve had a brilliant six years at Twenty8Twelve and are now looking forward to new pastures,” said the Miller sisters. “We wish the brand the best of luck for the future.”

According  to WWD, the label will still go ahead and show its new collection at London Fashion Week, but will instead be called Twenty8Twelve London instead of Twenty8Twelve by s.miller.

Although we’re shocked to hear that the girls have left their label, we have a feeling their new ventures will be equally as exciting, so we can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves.

Next to seeing the lavish collections, the other delight of Couture Fashion Week is spying what the celebs headed for the front row end up wearing. 

Some go for all-out glam to try and blend in with the models on the catwalk, but others, like Miss Olivia Palermo, go for something more chic and understated.

Olivia rocked up to the Christian Dior Haute Couture show in Paris in a nude flowing blouse, skin-tight leather trousers and cute black booties, with a fabulous blue clutch bag to add some contrast and colour to her outfit.

Despite her look being predominantly monochrome (which was incidentally the theme of the Dior Couture collection), we love how she jazzed it up with some modern, chunky gold accessories and that statement embellished cuff.

And where do we start with her hair? We have no problems with her flowing and always perfectly voluminous locks, but we love the half-up do that she sported. She was styled to perfection while still managing to maintain that effortless look.

We actually love this lady!

To quote Hannibal in the wonderful The A-team, we love it when a plan comes together! The on-going conflict surrounding the spring/summer 2013 fashion week show dates has finally been resolved, as London and New York have agreed to change their schedules to comply with the new dates of the Milan and Paris shows.

It was a long and complicated affair, which would have caused chaos if it remained unresolved, as magazine editors would have been forced to pledge loyalties to different brands and cities due to the overlap. A drama if ever there was one!

Therefore we’re thrilled to reveal that both London and New York have come to an agreement, with both cities kicking things off a week earlier to avoid a clash with Milan and Paris. The new schedule is as follows:

New York Fashion Week will now take place from September 6th to September 13th, with London kicking off on September 14th through to September 18th. Milan will take place on September 19th.

Hurrah, fashion week is saved!

The fashion weeks for the autumn/winter 2012 season are shaping up to be pretty spectacular already, as not only do we have Stella McCartney’s special presentation and the Alexander McQueen McQ show in London to look forward to, but fashionistas across the globe can now get excited about the prospect of seeing Levi for the first time in New York! 

“Fall 2012 is the first cohesive collection we’ll market globally that consolidates all our product lines for all our regions in Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America,” creative director Len Peltier told WWD. “We wanted to show in New York because it’s such a global stage. We’re building out our presentation ideas now, and it’ll be something more interactive than just a runway show.”

We have every faith that Levi will wow the crowds with the presentation of its Red Tab, Vintage Clothing and Made & Crafted lines and look forward to seeing what they have in store for us.

Both Naomi Campbell and Karl Lagerfeld are no longer content with being at the top of their own professions – they’re set to take the world of magazine editing by storm too! 

Kaiser Karl has signed up to guest edit the Metro International newspaper for a one-off ‘World According to Karl’ edition that will be published during the newspaper’s autumn/winter 2012 fashion week coverage.

“I love daily papers and it’s fun to be part of one of them just for the day,” Karl said. “Metro is on a worldwide scale so it’s even more fun.”

The publication is read in 100 cities and 22 countries, which amounts to 800 million people… so no pressure there, then. The Metro is looking for an editorial assistant to fly to Paris in February and help Karl with his editing duties, so if you think you have what it takes (and want to bag yourself some free clothes courtesy of the man himself – think of it as a thank you present) then keep a beady eye on the Metro for more news on how you can enter the competition.

Naomi Campbell’s task doesn’t appear to be any less daunting either, as she has signed up to guest edit both the Russian and  German versions of the popular Interview magazine. Apparently Naomi is working on some Q&As has already penned her introduction letter. We’re itching to know what she has written.This collaboration sounds rather marvellous doesn’t it… we can’t wait for February!

David Beckham’s five-year LA Galaxy contract is due to expire at the end of the year (didn’t all those years go quickly?), but he is showing no signs of resigning, taking a break or even slowing down, as he’s apparently already in talks to sign an 18-month contract with Qatari-owned Paris St Germain at the start of the new year.

This means that the Beckham brood would need to relocate to the City of Light for at least a year and a half, although the family would reportedly be returning Stateside after David’s contract expires.

This potential move now begs the question: if the Beckhams move to Paris, will Victoria therefore show at Paris Fashion Week instead of New York Fashion Week? We have a feeling that Paris could do wonders for Victoria’s fashion lines, possibly giving her a fresh start and a new edge to her much-loved collections.

We know that Paris has long been the fashion capital of the world, but will Victoria be able to manage her fashion empire in the same way she has done in LA? Will she rack up the air miles and jet back and forth? Or will she just Skype everyone as she said she did during her maternity leave?

Only time will tell, but if history has taught us anything, Mrs Beckham will make it work for her.
