We thought Agyness Deyn would be lost behind a long, red wig and provocative stripper gear, but we’d recognise those cheekbones anywhere! 

Last year we learnt that Agyness Deyn would star in the remake of the Nicolas Winding Refn cult classic, Pusher, and here is your very first look at the supermodel in her stripper getup. What do you think?

If you reckon Ms Deyn has done a good job, you’ll be pleased to know that this isn’t the last we will see of her on the big screen – not if she has anything to do with it anyway.

“When I did Pusher in the summer, it was like: this is what I’m supposed to be doing,” she told The Evening Standard. “I just loved it so much and it excites me to be able to do it. I want to do it as much as possible - film, theatre, everything.”

Pusher is slated for release this May! Will you be going to see it?

Lindsay Lohan is apparently in talks with Lifetime to play the late Elizabeth Taylor in a made-for-TV movie about the Hollywood icon’s life. 

If what we read on The Hollywood Reporter is true, it wouldn’t be the first time Li-Lo will have channelled one of the true modern greats, as Lindsay recently posed as the legendary Marilyn Monroe for that highly anticipated and much talked about Playboy cover. 

As the name suggests, Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story will chronicle the on/off romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, and is slated for release sometime this year.

We hope this rumour is true, as we’d love to see Lindsay hit the headlines for her films rather than her tumultuous private life.

And we have one more question… if Lindsay is playing Elizabeth Taylor, which Hollywood hottie is going to step into Richard Burton’s shoes?

Dior job or no Dior job, Marc Jacobs’ career is going from strength to strength, as he is turning his talents to acting!

“I got cast in a role in a movie,” the designer told a reporter at the WSJ Magazine Innovator of the Year Awards. “They’re filming next week and I’m excited. I get to play a character that’s not myself at all.”

This exciting announcement makes a nice little change from the ‘is he/isn’t he heading to Dior‘ topic that seems to be on everyone’s lips these days. Marc Jacobs has denied replacing John Galliano at Christian Dior, while the house of Dior is also keeping schtum about its new recruit, so we’re glad to find something Marc Jacobs is more than happy to talk about.

We don’t know any more details other than what MJ revealed to that very lucky reporter, but we are very excited to say the least.

We’re used to seeing Grace Kelly in those timeless big screen movies in award-winning roles, but now it’s her turn to be the character being portrayed.  A small period of her life will be the subject of a big Hollywood film that hopes to be similar to the hugely successful Oscar-winning film The King’s Speech, in both ‘scope and tone’. 

The film, which is currently unnamed, will focus on a six-month period of the Princess of Monaco’s life in 1962 during which she was named as a key figure in the settlement of a dispute between Monaco and French President Charles de Gualle.

Arash Amel has apparently penned the script, while European producer Pierre Ange Le Pogam has been secured as the producer. So, now the big question is… which Hollywood actress will be given the huge honour of stepping into Grace Kelly’s shoes?

Carey Mulligan, Blake Lively, Rachel McAdams, Scarlett Johansson and Diane Kruger, among many fabulous others, are some of the names floating around the rumour mill. Who do you think the coveted role should go to?

British fashion designer Gareth Pugh is no stranger to all things avant garde and gothic – (you just have to look at his previous collections to see what we mean) – so it comes as no surprise he’s created an unconventional video montage of his latest collection for AW11 – catwalks are so last year.

Showcasing his latest venture at the Pitti Uomo tradeshow in Florence, the dark designer grasped the opportunity to showcase his work outside the conventional fashion capitals of the Paris and London just so he could play fashion director for the day.

Shot by videographer Ruth Hogben, the 10 minute clip is, unsurprisingly, rather ingenious with model Natasa Vojnovic strutting her stuff in Pugh’s latest collection to the beat of a catchy 80s techno track – and you can also experience a whole host of kaleidoscope-inspired effects to match.

“I like the idea of mixing hard with soft, masculine with feminine and light with dark,” Gareth tells Dazed Digital. “And for this show I wanted create the notion of a figure emerging from darkness into the light.”

Inspired by the backdrop of Florence, Pugh certainly took his ancient Italian architecture surroundings on board with an eclectic mix of gold trousers and angular high brow collars to boot.

Shape What’s to Come, which officially went live yesterday, is a new social hub where women around the world working in fashion, film, media, music and other creative professions can join together to ask questions about their careers, share tips and advice on how to achieve their goals, and generally have a good old chinwag about life.
